Ahh that summed it up pretty nicely then. So basically we're all good in some way and have some potentiel that was hero like

Yes. We are just the last members of the guild, not the first. So I have no idea what age requirements there are. Is it plausible that a 12 year old girl joined us, given the description? I have no clue. I think it really depends on the characters description.
As for myself, I will suspend judgment and let Almighty and you guys decide cause it isn't something that bothers me.

Oh, yeah, all green lights here! Let him be grumpy, they've been kicked from their home. :)
Great! Had to ask, I can't just go ahead and ruin thud RP for everyone :D
Though I am open to my character being killed, so long as it is a well written death. I am also open to letting him live though lol.

Im liking the characters n all, but I really hope I'm not the only one not over a century years old :l

haha. So, yeah, I figured age would come up eventually. To be honest, in most roleplays I manage I like to think of the age range of man to be 1,000. Why? Because it's a clean number and it's also fairly high. I think the lifespan of a human man is too short to gather as much knowledge while also being physically fit and strong.

However, I'm more than open to their being variations in the race of men. I believe there was something similar in Tolkien's world, but I'm not 100 percent sure. Like, there was "high men" or something like that. If you think the short life span makes for a good character (which it definitely could) then you're more than welcome to be a slightly varied race of man. (this was also in response to the person who said they were going to be 30)

Oh well. Will have to adapt I guess. Btw is english your native language? @everyone

Yep. English is my native language. I've tried to learn some others, but got bored. I like to pick languages and use them when I roleplay for various things. For instance, my secret-yet-real language of choice for this roleplay is Welsh. (Not that you guys have to use any Welsh words. I just like to)

So I was thinking, we just got banned and sent away from our world for doing our jobs too well. We ended up on some unknown planet with all its consequences. Our leader, the one holding us all together just died. What would our psychological state be? I say not very good. We are angry, desperate, lost, disillusioned, disappointed, and so on. It would only be expected that we blame each other and fight among us. It may be a good enough reason to split up in 2 or more groups, see where that takes us. What do you think?

Yeah. Most definitely. Tensions will likely be high among the group. Especially considering most of us probably weren't friends or acquaintances prior to the Heroes' Guild. The longer we worked in the guild together the deeper our bonds have grown. Those newest to the guild will probably be the most volatile (ie: the 12 year old. lol) Infighting will likely happen, we may split up, some of us may work for the tyrant, it's whatever. As long as it's in character and you keep the story in mind, it's probably an okay decision.

Immediately go bad and try to kill the group? Probably not a good idea. A random falling meteor will probably destroy you if the rest of us don't. LoL. So just don't do things that completely sabotage the narrative. But these emotions you're talking about are very real and will fit very nicely in the story.

That sounds a bit cliché. What I mean is that, while some see this adventure as a new opportunity, or redemption, others might say "we just got expelled from our planet and you guys wanna play heroes again? Nah thanks, I have learned my lesson."
At least that is my opinion. Not every story has to have fake problems, like the fake weaknesses you list at the job interview, "oh my biggest weakness is that I am a perfectionist". I would like it to be realistic. They can go back and help each other but this event MUST leave scars if nothing else. It is not meant as team-building :D

Again. You're completely right. There will likely be some scars. And over time, we will uncover a little more information as to why we were actually banished, what's going on in the old world, and why we were sent to this planet. But, as of the beginning of the story and based on the information our characters know, it's nothing to be happy about. (Not that it probably will ever be something to be "happy" about lol)

Although now that you mention it we should eventually discuss what the heroes guild was initially

So, basically, my concept of the heroes' guild is your basic government organization. One thing I should point out is that the government leaders are extremely powerful. Beyond our power for now. I tend to be drawn to the concept of "the most powerful are the people who rule (for example, the tyrant). But, they are government folks and they don't want to put their life on the line. So they formed the Heroes' Guild long ago and tasked us with protecting the government and the people.

The government decides who joins the Heroes' Guild. They then send someone to recruit that person or maybe they do it themselves. It's an "invitation only" sort of thing. Just like the Tyrant has spies all over the New World, the World Government has spies all over the Old World. They learn about people and watch them, especially those who are growing in power.

@Otomos the Crazy a 12 year old could definitely be in the Guild. They would likely be a very exceptional prodigy type. The World Government took notice of her and then recruited her to the guild.

Well, considering I basically made her an unwanted child that did whatever they want until they started chasing a feeling, yeah. I'd say she's kind of like a prodigy.

@Almighty.Person.Me
Personally I am ok with a character who is unfit or not so knowledgeable. My main focus is personality and at 30 I think one has a fully developed one. I don't know why but I don't care what someone does, I care how they do it. And I am still of the opinion that wit>power, so I share Hitchens' opinion "it doesn't matter what you think but how".
These are the reasons why even if I am given the choice to be much older and more powerful I will probably always turn it down.

They are pretty good foils of one another. It should be interesting. I could see Treisgar having a somewhat secretive rivalry with him, though he's not the type to admit it to the others. LoL

You are like a Shoalin Monk and I am similar to a Ninja I think that's why.

Shhh. I'm not a Shaolin monk, I'm a Glasaf monk. ;) *coughcough*
I may have subconsciously made a character who is the exact opposite of yours! Im young you are old (Lol) you are calm and collected I am a childish clown. You are strong I am fast. You are a tank I am a...pussy?:oops:

LoL. Don't forget, I'm short range and you are long range.

Still though, I think that's good for the story. And who knows, there may be some nugget of respect buried in there between the two. LoL

So I'm thinking this will likely be the final list of heroes in the guild:

@Average
@Bernar
@ChelonianCommander
@Dragon Painter
@seaciel
@Otomos the Crazy
@WiZ
@Almighty.Person.Me

Did I miss anyone? I know there is @Aletheya @Knosis @Gattletowne and @Madam Taure on the list, but I haven't heard much from them, except Gattle. (You people are still encouraged to join and partake. After all, some non-hero characters will be needed)

Just want to make sure I've got everyone accounted for before I write this story arc intro.
