Basic Plot
The isle of Moordon has experienced peace and tranquility for nearly sixty years, seemingly timeless feuds have been forgotten and a plethora of hatchets have been buried. However, Moordon is not a place without conflict, bands of mercenaries still roam her sweeping plains and many nations still build armies hoping for the chance to use them again. Nevertheless, life is safe for most of the isle's inhabitants.
Or at least it was until the last moon cycle. They say in the far north, deep in Upper Dunbarton, something stirred. Nobody knows what exactly, but they say the next fortnight Dunbarton City was attacked. Not by an army wielding weapons, but by villagers. By women and children, by cats and dogs. They say the attack descended on the city like a fervent wave of nails and teeth. The attackers scaled walls, fell perilous heights, and sustained mortal injuries. But they kept coming, grabbing whatever they could get their hands on to use as weapons and savagely murdering whoever they came across. The fate of Dunbarton City is unknown, these are merely rumors after all, not an official report. But if there truly was a force that could motivate mortals to be so base and evil, it might mean the end of Moordon itself.

World Map & Lore
The Culvinian Peninsula: Culviny (Capital City of Canicatti) has been called home by many great persons of our time, many find the climate most agreeable, although the sun beats down relentlessly and the air is often humid, the peninsula is cooled by year-round ocean drafts creating an eternal summer for its inhabitants. As for landscape, Culviny has temperate forests in the north and mountains in the south (they are considered inhospitable and hold a very sparse population). Like the climate, most citizens of Culviny are generally agreeable and are viewed favorably by others. Culviny finds its wealth by trading, Culvinians are typically known as good sailors, so it's no surprise that their goods find their way all over Moordon. Some would even claim that every piece of gold in Moordon has gone through the hands of a Culvinian merchant at least once. The government in Culviny is controlled by a democratically elected parliament and is well favored by its citizens.
The Principality of Carconi: Carconi (Capital City of Vetta) is closely tied to Culviny, both in geography and in spirit. At one time, they were one state, so the two countries are tied closely together. However, most Culvinians might find the Carconian climate to be unpleasant, northern Carconi experiences four distinct seasons, but southern Carconi experiences high humidity and heat all year-round. Most of Carconi is forested, all though one will find an abundance of swamps as they approach the southern coast. The people of Carconi are tied closely to its geography, the south harbors more common people while the north is typically full of the wealthy. Carconi is most well known for their textile and fashion industry, one can easily find the latest fashion trends on the streets of Vetta. The government in Carconi is a monarchy and is generally viewed disagreeably by its citizens, many feel that the reigning monarch is incompetent and his decisions are outdated.
Mitterbind: Mitterbind (Capital City of Tiefstadt) is a country that would choose economic enterprise over war any day, astoundingly, they have remained neutral in every conflict that Moordon has ever seen. Mitterbind is dominated by an imposing mountain range in the middle of the country, supposedly there are hidden fortresses deep in the mountains, but there is yet to be any proof of this. Most of Mitterbind is temperate except for the north where it tends to be colder. A Mitterbinder's livelihood is most likely either mining or tree-felling, the country has no shortage of either resource. Mitterbind is often viewed disparagingly by its northern neighbors and somewhat favorably by its southern neighbors as a result of its neutrality. The government in Mitterbind is a particracy, although you would never catch a Mitterbinder saying it aloud.
Presidential Republic of Varsonas: Varsonas (Capital City of Tameiga) is most often associated with vacation and strong spirits. The entire country is a veritable tropical paradise filled with natural wonderment and lively people. Most Varsonians claim that you haven't really lived until you've found yourself buried in the bosom of a Tameigian whore with a bottle of Vejoan rum in your stomach. Most Varsonians work as fishermen on the coast and only make enough money to support their families. The rich are very rich and the poor are very poor. The government in Varsonas is a presidential republic and most citizens are indiffierent to it.
Republic of Ringfeldt: Ringfeldt (Capital City of Pfarrsberg) is the polar opposite of Mitterbind, Ringfeldters are the first to escalate, first to throw a punch, and most likely to stab you in the back and twist the knife. Although Ringfeldt shares dialects, traditions, and a border with Mitterbind, they could not possibly hate them more. Whenever war breaks out, Ringfeldt is the first to strike using its vast army of conscripts and mercenaries alike. Most of Ringfeldt is rather unremarkable, the climate is cold but not frigid, the countries income is supported by leasing its army out to other nations to deal with brigands or bandits. Recently, many mercenaries have returned home because they can no longer be supported by the government. Others continue wandering Moordon, endlessly looking for work. The government in Ringfeldt is a stratocracy and is viewed disdainfully by other nations, but rather fondly by Ringfeldters.
The Former State of Greater Dunton, Upper Dunton: Upper Dunton (Capital City of Dunton City) used to be part of the largest nation on Moordon until they declared their independence, this has been widely regarded as a very bad move by many academics. Most of Upper Dunton is considered inhospitably cold and there are very few resources except for coal. As a result, many Duntonians find themselves living in abject poverty as they struggle to live day to day. Dunton City used to be well known for its university, but it slowly lost its acclaim over the years. Most Duntonians would rather seek work in other countries than ever set foot in Upper Dunton ever again. Some are fond of the saying "There's death...and then there's Dunton." The government in Upper Dunton is a democratic republic, most citizens are either indifferent or wholly ignorant of its existence.
Kingdom of Moremere: The Kingdom of Moremere (Capital City of Roehester) is the oldest nation on Moordon and also one of the largest. Moremere is one of the most accurate depictions of the north, the southern half of the country is mostly barren with some frozen grasslands and the north is all tundra. The Moremere experience winter almost all year round, but they are quite fond of it and wouldn't have it any other way. The Moremere were originally nomadic herdsmen and their current status reflects that, their economy is very reliant on agriculture and animal husbandry. The Moremere are always the rowdiest drinkers but the most honest friends, other northern states are quite happy to have the Moremere in their company, but they are not viewed with kindness by many southern states. The government in Moremere is a monarchy lead by a king, the citizens widely respect him, even when he makes unpopular decisions.
