Alora - Fortune Slave, portside

The siren was perched on one of the cross masts still singing softly to herself. The wind that blew gently through the rigging of ropes and clasps that attached canvases to the large live oak pillars and the rest of the ship carried her voice lightly with it. If anyone could hear the song they would wonder where she might have learned it. It wasn’t a sailor’s song like so many she song.

“Now your willow’s fallen now you belong to me~” Her eyes were closed as she sang. It was no wonder in moments like this why men were lead to their deaths by the beautiful creatures of the sea. At the sound of the row boats clipping the side of the live oak haul her eyes flew open and glanced about as a blush covered her cheeks. In a flash of moment she was in action dropping to the deck to see who was coming aboard. In the distance she saw Eirik making his way to the ship in his special way. She didn’t blame him but found it amusing nonetheless.

((The song she was singing last.))

Captain Zathrian Ellwood - Boarding the Fortune Slave

It was good to be back home. As Zathrian climbed back on board the Fortune Slave he couldn't keep the joyful grin off of his face. Everything had gone according to plan, a rare occurrence in his profession, and now he was about to embark on the greatest adventure of his life. He took a moment to look upon the ruins of the Martell Estate from the bow of his ship, lost in the exhilaration of the day.

As the rest of his crew came aboard again, he started giving orders. "All right, everyone to their posts! Navi, up top, Alora hoist the sails, Tor take the wheel. The Navy wont have a prayer of catching us!" He laughed, confident in his crew's abilities. While they set to work, he opened up the map, as he expected nothing appeared. He'd seen enough magical objects in his time to know that it was never that easy. Luckily he was cautious and took a bargaining chip.

As Crow finally made it aboard, the girl unbound for some reason and in one of the big mans arms, his grin widened into a full blown smile. He approached the two and bowed to the girl. "Madame Mireia Martell, a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Captain Zathrian Ellwood, and it's my honor to officially welcome you aboard The Fortune Slave."

Mireia Martell, Main Deck on The Fortune Slave

There was a void inside her, stretching out from her heart to her fingertips and the ends of her toes. The muscles in her shoulder and back tightened when they arrived on board. She blinked the last of her tears away. These pirates were savages and there was nothing she would do to show that she was weak.

Her eyes were lifeless as the captain came over and introduced himself. She turned her head over Eirik's shoulder and rolled her eyes, not even bothering to acknowledge his stupid bow. Her eyes narrowed and her left hand gripped Eirik's shoulder, knuckles becoming white.

With all of the strength she could muster, she pried herself from Eirik and immediately mocked the Captain's greeting. "Pleasure to meet you as well, Captain," she seethed, striking her hand hard across his left cheek.

Eirik Crow -Fortune Slave

Eirik tilted his head slightly away from the ever growing ball of angry lass still cradled in his left arm gently. The captain’s immediate pounce on the woman left him feeling little sympathy for him as Mireia twisted from his hold and slapped the fae male across the face. The sound echoed across the ship and likely caused many to stop what they were doing. Well except the ever joyful Alora who was too busy playing with rope to pay any mind to what was going on just below her.

The Jotun smirked slightly as patted the small woman on her head, “Easy now. You should settle down before-” It was too late. Alore let loose the last sail which caused the ship to lurch forward making the giant to spread his stance as his face took on a slight green appearance. He stayed that way for a moment before moving over to the side of the ship and emptying the contents of his stomach yet again. Hell’s bells he needed some peppermint already to wash that horrible taste from his mouth.

Alora - Fortune Slave

The siren was as joyful a could be as she bound from one place to another working her magic over the rope. She burst into laughter at seeing the poor Jotun get sick from the jerking over the ship as it set into motion away from the shore and back into the deeps, “On ward!” She called out as she landed some time later next to the captain. Her neon blue hair was all over the place at this point and her little black horns poked up through it all. The sound of people chattering about their items made her crack her knuckles. By the end of the night she would need to set up a few games of poker and win herself some of the booty.

Tor'Mur - Boarding The Fortune Slave
Tor'Mur climbed up onto the main deck just in time to hear Zathrian telling her to take the wheel. Barely time to catch my breath and you're already ordering me around, she thought. She couldn't complain though. She knew the Navy would probably already be preparing to set their forces on them, and if they lingered too long they might be in for a firefight. So she merely grunted at the Captain as she set about to follow his orders.

From the wheel, she saw the girl slap Z, followed by Crow vomitting over the side of the railing. She couldn't help but snicker.

Captain Zathrian Ellwood

The slap had a nice amount of force behind it and Z was sure it was going to leave a red mark for the rest of the evening. The frustration of getting slapped in the face was overall minimal compared to the admiration he had for this little noble girl's spirit. He'd always had a thing for women with a fiery and passionate temperament. He rubbed at the sore spot on his cheek before returning his gaze to Mireia, his eyes not overtly hostile, but gentle. "Sad way to start our business association, but I understand that you've had a long day. We'll continue this conversation after you've had some time to process."

He turned to Alora, who had landed right next to him. "Alora, rope up her hands and escort her to her cabin. Wouldn't do to have her slapping one of the more rowdy crew members." He ordered as he made his way up towards Tor at the helm. "Heard Little Buddy go off as I left. I assume the aquamancer wont be a problem down the line?" He asked, ready to praise Tor on a job well done.

Navyra Darling-Fortune Slave
Navi quickly scrambled to her post though as she was doing so, she saw Crow with a girl that had seemed to bring from the house. Navi didn't recalled ever hearing about the girl being brought as well but she was probably plastered out of her mind when it took place. Not now though, while the navigator was buzzed she could still see everyone and everything with clarity, even the girl, Mireia, as the captain called her. Navi's face warmed as she continued to look, watching as Mireia struck Captain across the face.

Quickly moving to her post before Captain or anyone say anything to her, she felt her heart began to race. It wasn't love at first sight with Mireia, as Navi didn't believe in that, but it was sure close. "By the gods, is she a pretty thing." Navi said to herself, watching the crew from below.

Tor'Mur - Fortune Slave - At the Helm
Tor scoffed at Zathrian's question. "Do you even have to ask that? Does this look like mine?" she said as she gestured to the blood on her shirt. Her scowl quickly shifted into a smile. "You shoulda seen it, Z. Never seen so much blood at one time. Then again, never used Little Buddy on someone's face before!" Tor'Mur laughed harshly. She knew the captain wouldn't have wanted to hear the details, which is exactly why she shared them. Few things gave her as much joy as poking fun at her friend.

Captain Zathrian Ellwood

Zathrian's face paled slightly at Tor's description of the bloody mess that was once Nidayu. Thankfully the blood on her shirt had dried to look like red stains so he wasn't feeling nearly as queasy. He gave his friend a playful shove. "Nice work. Soon as we hit the open ocean you can head down and get some sleep. Don't need your ass snoring at the wheel again." He smirked, getting a bit of revenge for the teasing she'd just given him.

Gosberg & Remon - Main Deck

Remon saw Mireia slap the captain, and as much as he was surprised that they brought her on board, he was more surprised that she was willing to slap the Captain of all people. He tried to run to her, to keep her from any harm but Gosberg grabs his shoulder.

"Where do you think you're going lad?" Gosberg asks "I need you to sort through the good loot."

"I'm...going to see if the captain is alright." Replied Remon.

"So? Let the surgeons take care of it. That's what they're for right?"

"Yes...of course" Remon replied. He refrains from rushing over to Mireia's side, and merely watched. Alora tied his beloved up and he knew this was a good time to act. He fiddled around his pockets and pulled out a small gold coin. He looks at the Captain and Tor, before looking at Gosberg and placing the coin in front of the man. "I need you to distract Alora for me." Gosberg takes a glance at the coin then at Remon's neutral face. He figures the boy had his reasons and after downing his flask he takes the coin.

"If you so wish. At least you paid." Gosberg replied before walking over to the siren. "Why hello there you treacherous sea breeeze." He told her. "You know, I like the way you handle that rope. I bet you can do so many things with an ability such as that."

Alora - Fortune Slave

Her large neon blue eyes glanced up at the captain, “Really? You mean it?” Her voice was similar to a child’s who was expressing complete excited puzzlement at being allowed to do what they were normally told no for. Her lithe body wiggled slightly with the barely contained joy. Her gaze landed on the woman with an evil grin. In a flash of movement a bundle of free rope appeared in the siren’s left hand. Slowly she untied the bundle humming slightly.

“Oh what to do, what to do?” A giggle escaped her as she finally lifted her gaze from the rope in her hands to the subject in question, “I suppose I would hate to carry you and Eiri is a bit…” She chuckled at the poor Jotun who was clinging to the railing at this point, “You see,” In a flash of movement the woman would find herself bound from shoulder the hips her with her wrists bound to her upper arms. Once finished the siren took a step back to admire her fine work, “Yes that should do nicely.”

She grinned as her attention was soon captured by another who admired her work, “Oh now hush you or you’ll make me blush,” That likely wouldn’t happen but who knew at this point, “Are you inviting me on a play date?”

Her body tensed at the strange woman. She was giggly and maniacal. Mireia wished for a moment that the giant who'd brought her on board had taken her below deck right away, where she assumed she'd be spending most of her days on board. She scowled as the rope began to restrict free movement in her arms and hands. "Didn't your captain say hands?" she hissed. "I can barely move as it is." The sheer embarrassment of being bound in a such an intricate way from her hips to her wrists only traumatized her further. Mireia could hear her blood pulsing quickly. She was tired of being shown off like some trophy. Everyone surely had something to say about it, especially one of the men trying to court the girl that the captain called Alora. "He'll take you on your stupid playdate after you're done doing your job."

Captain Zathrian Ellwood - Fortune Slave

As he looked out amongst the crew, he noticed that the girl, Mireia still hadn't been escorted below deck. Seems that Alora had become somewhat distracted by Gosberg, which Zathrian found odd. The man was normally all about staying on task. He shouted out from the stern. "Ey, Gosberg! Back to work! Alora, nice ropejob, now get the girl below deck before the crew gets any funny ideas." He pinched the bridge of his nose, they were a good crew, but they still each had their frustrating quirks. As he looked up again, he noticed a strange look of disappointment on the cabin boy's face and it was directed at their new passenger. He'd have to check in on that later.

Alora - Fortune Slave

Alora glared at the woman who first complained about her rope work then complained about her simply not doing her job. The siren was tempted to say fuck it and throw the little hussy over board. Only the captain’s bark for her to do her job kept her in check, “You see, I don’t give a clam about your ideas of how things should be,” She told Mireia, “The fact you are alive is merely an oversight and when when captain comes to realize that I’ll do what I do best.”

The now pissed siren pushed the woman downstairs. And to a spot that didn’t provide her with protection from the crew. Captain only said take her downstairs not see to her safety. Not that Alora would have done much than tie the woman’s knees together.

The nerve of her, Mireia thought sourly as she was suddenly pushed down the steps. She stumbled downstairs, falling forward with a thump. Mireia struggled to stand back up on her heels, wincing as she did so. Well, that's bloody perfect. She tried not to limp so much as letting out one sound. Mireia gritted her teeth as Alora walked her to the cell. There was nothing but a foul stench and the creaking of wood. Mireia collapsed inside the cell, kicking off her heels. She couldn't see any physical changes to her ankle through the white stockings, but she didn't care. There was nothing left for her except being harassed by the crew members of this blasted ship they called Fortune Slave and simply taking it all in stride. "Are you going to untie me?" Her voice was calm and somewhat diplomatic, in a way. She was indifferent, but much preferred to at least move her arms a little bit, if Alora permitted it. "I won't be able to escape either way."

Gosberg & Remon - Main Deck

Gosberg shouted out to the captain "There's nothing to work on Captain! A man's got needs, and you should know better then I!" He said, loud enough for the entire main deck to hear. He acted drunk, which might not even be an act as he usually take a couple mugs before a battle. He walks up to the captain and Tor and places his arms around their shoulders. "Besides the two of you seem like rather good mates. Why don't you give me this one time before I drown myself in my own loneliness."

While the Arsenal captain distracted the captain and first mate, Remon followed Alora down into the deck under the guise of simply cleaning the floors and walls. He kept a good distance, just stayed close by just enough to see and hear the two. He wanted to make sure that it was indeed Mireia to confirm his hopes and worries in case it was just a look alike that her father hired.

Tor'Mur - Fortune Slave - At the Helm
Tor'Mur didn't have a chance to reply to Zathrian's taunt as a scene began to unfold on the main deck. She watched with mild interest until Gosberg apparently got it in his head to get up in their business again. "Ah great, now see what you've done?" she said to Z as the man approached them.

When Gosberg put his arm around her, Tor turned and gave him a hefty punch in the gut. "The Captain just gave you an order," she snapped.

Alora - Fortune Slave

“Are you going to untie me?” Alora mocked her, “Do I look like an idiot, cheekie?” Her neon blue eyes took in the other, “I’ve done my job or would you like to take back what you told me to do earlier?” She slipped closer and crouched down so she was eye to eye with the woman, “I’m a monster dear. The sooner you come to terms with that the faster we can start to get along.”

She tapped the rope around her arms to loosen it slightly, “I care little if you escape. You won’t get far and you won’t make it to land or another ship. I’ll see to that part personally,” With that she left. Once back up top she stretched glared at the crew who got too close to her before heading off to get something more suitable for a night of gambling on.

Mireia glowered at the woman as she belittled her and loosened the rope a little, but not enough for Mireia to move the top part of her body around. She left before Mireia could spit out another retort. Instead, the young noble tried to shrug herself out of the ropes, but to no avail. She seemed to have restricted herself further. Mireia grunted and tried to get out again, desperate. She picked her heel up with her foot and tried to throw it at the steel cell doors, but the shoe barely made it five inches. "Let me go!" she screamed, her throat beginning to hurt from the sudden pressure on her tonsils. She tried again. It was no use.

The woman bent over her stomach on the wooden ground, her foot aching. "Bastards," she muttered. They were worse than the New Eden guards. "All of them... bastards... scoundrels..." She began to shake like a leaf. Henri, gone. Nidayu, gone. Mireia sobbed in silence. She could still feel the giant's grubby hands reaching under her skirts and the Captain's hands as well. She winced as she moved her legs together, simply wanting to be rid of the disgust and shame she felt allowing them to do what they wanted. "I should be dead right now, but I'm not," she whispered to herself. Her body ached; it felt like she couldn't breathe.

She didn't know what to do with her ankle. She didn't know what to do with herself. Her face flushed and her eyes narrowed as she screeched at no one. "Damn you, foolish scoundrels! You should've tossed me overboard when you had the chance!" Mireia rolled onto her back and continued to cry in silence. Her left ankle was swollen by now, but she couldn't tell the difference behind her blurry vision. "It hurts, it hurts," she talked softly to herself. Everything hurt. Her head, her shoulders, her ankle, her chest. All of it. "Mm." She burst into tears again turned on her side, away from the entrance. Her eyes stared at the wooden hull. Helpless. Powerless.

In this moment, she wanted nothing more than to reach into her sleeve and take out his handkerchief, but she knew, it was hopeless.

Captain Zathrian Ellwood - The Fortune Slave

Slipping out of Gosberg's grip he smirked a bit as his first mate gave him a hefty punch to the stomach, He couldn't help but give a sigh of disappointment at the man. "Fuck's sake, Gosberg, you plastered on the job too?! I have enough problems with Navi as it is! Get your ass sober and back to work, we'll celebrate tonight." He said as he kicked the man out of the stern area of the ship.

He put his elbows on the railing overlooking the deck. "Pretty sure the map might be tied to the girl in some way." He told Tor. "Means we gotta keep her somewhat amicable if we're getting anything out of her. Do me a favor, if any of them start getting rough with her, teach them a thing or two eh?" He said giving his old friend a smile, she was the toughest person he knew, he trusted her to get his point across.

He remained quiet up there, lost in thought, trying to find ways to get the girl to cooperate. He knew he could charm her, he could charm a woman without even trying. Just set up a dinner and... dinner. There's an idea. He'd invite her to dinner in his quarters, make a better first impression then he did when he reached down her skirt. It was crass, the thrill of battle still running through his mind. He needed to find a way to apologize for that.
