Claire had stood on guard mostly while the others explored the apartment in full. Seemingly not the most important job in this situation, it seemed to Claire that this city was just a bit too
still for her liking. She knew how to sniff out danger at the very least, and scanned the ruined streets of the city like a hawk, her hand touching at the pistol at her hip. Despite the sun in the sky, the wind howled fiercely. Claire knew a lot about biological horrors as opposed to the supernatural kind, but something seemed supernaturally off about all of this.
It reminded her of Silent Hill. It had to be the silence.
At the sounds of distress coming from inside of the building, Claire had quickly navigated inside to find she had missed the commotion. At the realization at what had happened, Claire found Aqua, smiling gratefully.
"I'm glad your okay," she said, honestly clear in her voice.
"Gave us quite the fright there. Try not to take another spill like that, all right?" No matter what Shiki or anyone else thought of her, Claire had an obligation to look out for some of the people. Some would die, but perhaps with her help, some would live.
As Aqua began conversing with Shiki, Claire found herself alone-- well, as alone one could be amidst a crowd of confused people. Like she'd been doing ever since she got here, she scanned the group for people she would recognise-- people that would recognise
her-- and finally found what she had been dreading. It had been ten years ago for Claire, but she could not forget the face of the girl she had tried to kill. It helped (Well, not really) that she hadn't aged much at all. It was a shocking site, and one that froze the redhead to the spot. How was she here. Was it just another alternate version of her? Hell, hadn't her legs been broken?
Claire hadn't been recognised yet, but she couldn't turn away from the girl.
Sophie, was it? A crowd of people stood between them, but Claire was transfixed, feeling hypnotically drawn. She couldn't look away.
