Nicki began to finally use her brain for once as she talked to Frank, "What kind of twisted games? Don't tell me this nuqqa is going all S&M like Rhianna has."
Kalifa spoke up.

"Games of murder. Of betrayal. According to our sources, there are many such variants throughout the Multiverse, with different names. Akibahara is the one behind the variant that has come to be known as the Murder Games. He feeds on fear, pain, and anguish, and uses the Murder Games as a means of creating situations in which those things are in abundance."

She almost spat as she continued. "However, since the Murder Games have participants from all over the Multiverse, much of the Multiverse has become aware of the Arch Demon's existence. The more he continues, the less they are able to ignore him and go about their own business. So they have placed bounties on the head of the Arch Demon."

Kalifa reached into her pouch, and produced a wanted poster. The poster had no picture, but it read as follows:

WANTED
DEAD OR ALIVE
ARCH DEMON AKIBAHARA
500,000,000 B reward
"The World Government was unable to obtain a picture, but the horror stories they heard about him were enough to make the bounty one of the highest bounties currently active." Kalifa explained. "We have a list with us that's at least ten pages long telling of other worlds' governments and organizations that are offering rewards for the death, imprisonment, or incapacitation of the Arch Demon."

"And that is why we are here. To put an end to this Arch Demon and his evil once and for all."

"Sound barbaric. So, everyone is supposed to work together in order to defeat this... Arch-Demon?" Yes. Nicki can use big words. Amazing, isn't it?

"Yeah. Some for different reasons, but yes."

Frank Castle said:

Kalifa nodded. "Some of us are after the bounties. Some of us are doing it for revenge. Some of us are doing it for justice. Some for redemption. Some for, I suppose, a combination of the above."

Kalifa turned to Nikki. "But you haven't even heard of the Arch Demon before. But somehow you ended up with us anyway."

"I hope you're prepared. What we're going to encounter isn't going to be pretty. I hope you're as capable of defending yourself as the rest of us are."

Aqua listened to Shiki's story, her eyes suddenly lighting up. They shined with a golden admiration for her friend. "She really did all of that for you? How wonderful. She must be very important to you. Aoko is a good person. She's always been someone I could rely on personally as well. Back in the murder game I was forced into, I was forced to be a traitor," she began to explain. "It was mind control. I didn't want to kill people but I... had to." Aqua was ashamed to admit it even to this day, but it was the truth. "When I woke up from my trace, I felt sorry for myself." She smiled again. "But Aoko slapped me out of it literally. She took wouldn't let me give up. I owe her a lot for that."

When Claire approached, Aqua gave her a friendly nod. "Oh thank you! I'm pretty sturdy so even had I fell I probably would've been all right." She glanced down at her own hands, holding them up. She had cut them up pretty bad when she gripped onto the rubble and actually hadn't healed them. Aqua was trying to conserve her magic for others and more important matters. "I did get scraped up a little, but that's about it. You still doing okay?" she asked, curious as to why Claire was staring away. Making sure the others were okay was honestly more important to Aqua. Her own wounds didn't matter compared to them.
3QkVJon.png
Claire didn't seem to register Aqua speaking to her at first. It took her a moment, but she finally responded with a stilted, "It's nothing." Not that her voice would convince anyone, or the fact she couldn't stop staring at. "I'm okay." She noticeably flinched, however, when the girl she was staring at finally noticed her. Claire could see recognition in the girl's eyes, proving that at the very least she knew of her. Whether this was a different version of the same girl who'd met another version of Claire, chances are that Claire hadn't been very nice either. Claire could almost imagine every version of her that existed working for Akibahara in some way. What a joke that would be.

I'd laugh right now, if I could.

Despite being recognised, the girl seemed to retreat within herself, choosing not to bring this up to anyone, at least for now. Claire felt she should talk to her, or say something, but she couldn't possibly think of anything that wouldn't have likely made things worse. Out of sight, out of mind, Claire thought, turning away from the girl known as Sophie. "I'm just, you know, thinking."

Alice had a brief moment of irritation as she was ignored. What sort of humans didn't react when a girl had literally flown in front of them?

After naught but a few seconds of observance however, she very very swiftly realized this wasn't exactly the most normal group of humans(?) she'd come across. And it'd probably help if she rose her voice above conversational to address a group this large.

Of course... this was assuming she actually wanted to draw attention to herself. She still had no idea what was going on, this city had obviously been destroyed, and for all she knew these people had done it. Perhaps they assumed she was of their number for some reason, an illusion that would swiftly vanish were she to ask aloud what the hell was going on. And while she had little doubt she could handle a bunch of mere humans, well... she couldn't exactly be sure that these people WERE mere humans.

So instead she snapped her fingers, and a dozen or so dolls started to fade into existence around her. all briefly armed to the teeth

She blinked and swiftly had their weapons disappear, in no mood to provoke anyone just yet. She nodded to them like a general to her troops and whispered quietly. "Go forth and listen. See if you can figure out where the hell we are"

The squad of dolls gave smart salutes before whisking off towards the various others, doing nothing untoward. In fact they were, for the most part, harmless and adorable looking, barring the slightly vacant stare they were levelling at anyone and everyone as they watched and listened, including one that was eventually plastered against one of the van's side windows as it looked and listened within

O_O staaaaaare...
---------------------------------------------------------

A few minutes later Alice once more had a list of conclusions, assuming none accosted her daughters.

1. More than a few people were just as lost and confused as she was, which, while not necessarily a good thing, at least made her feel less alone.

2. Those that DID know where they were called this place New York. Of those, some were surprised at the state of the city, others were not.

3. Of those that weren't surprised, there seemed to be a general consensus that it had something to do with a demon lord named Aki...something.

All useful information to have. None of which was at all useful in getting her home e_e

Booker had been contently smoking when he heard voices nearby, other people! Maybe they had some answers. He stood to his feet and round the corner, he noticed it was group of at least more than three, however, three seemed to catch his intrest.

"Excuse me, what is this business about? A demon?" He asked, making sure to cock beak the hammer on his hand cannon

Vader just simply used the Force to flick the doll off the van.

Then Vader used the Force to get the doll away without blowing it to shit. The only time Chloe hoped that she preferred Vader's method of doing things.

Alice blinked as... something made her doll lose her grip on the window and sent it briefly tumbling through the air. Well. Now that was just rude. she frowned slightly and directed the doll once more, and after a few seconds of playing catch up there was a slight *DINK* as the doll's face plastered against the window on the other side.

Kalifa stared at one of the strange dolls. The doll appeared animate and alive, reminiscent of the stories she had heard of the strange toys in Dressrosa.

The doll appeared to be listening to every word they were saying. But to an untrained observer, the doll probably would not appear suspicious.

However, Kalifa was far from an untrained observer. She was a member of Cipher Pol 9, a covert spy organization. She herself had spent years undercover as the secretary to Iceburg, CEO of the Galley-La Shipwrights. So therefore she had much experience in the art of spying.

She turned to the people near her, which at this point included the armed father and daughter, the singer named Nicki, and the weather-controlling woman who called herself Storm. "I'd suggest that everyone take a closer look at our surroundings. I believe there are some people here who haven't introduced themselves yet."

Shiki said:
Shiki gave Claire a small look when she had approached Aqua, but said nothing. If she wasn't the same Claire from the Crossed Incident, then technically, he shouldn't be so wary of her. But even still, something about her past and her sensitivity, as well as the supposed familiarity, to the situation and being treated as a Traitor, led Shiki to be naturally somewhat suspicious. Still, he did not act for now, as Claire seemed to be getting along with Aqua just fine, and Sensei wouldn't want him acting up on baseless assumption like that.

"You were... forced to be a Traitor? Well, as long as it was against your own will as you say," Shiki breathed, stretching his arms slightly. Speaking of Traitors... at least Aqua wasn't like the Claire he knew, who had supposedly murdered her own brother and fell in love with his worst enemy. How did that ever fly anyway? "But yeah... Sensei's a good person. I owe a lot to her. Heh... when I was little, she slapped me too. She's a very touchy-feely person in that regard, huh? Well, she slapped me because I cut a tree down to demonstrate my Mystic Eyes, 'cause what I did was pretty thoughtless, but then again, I was just a kid," he said nostalgically, almost laughing lightly, "She's very caring like that. Speaking of which, I wonder when we'll see her. She's not a part of the Coalition either, but she says she has plans that'll involve helping us find that Arch Demon. She's a pretty shrewd one, eh?"

"She is, isn't she?" Aqua said thoughtfully. "I do hope we see her again. I just hope when we see her again this demon war is over with. I don't want to run into her finding out that she's trying to help with this. I know you say she can handle herself, but the last two friends I had before Aoko--who also told me they could handle themselves--are both... gone." Aqua paused, sadly reflecting on Ventus and Terra. They had been so independent on their journeys that they didn't want Aqua to interfere. But now, Aqua regretted having not interfered more. If she had, maybe they would still be around today...

"Oh, but speaking of the Coalition, Shiki, earlier you said you actually aren't with them. If you're not with the Coalition, who are you with exactly?" It was a negative thought, but Aqua hoped Shiki wasn't working for Akibahara or some other kind of agency that intended to mettle in their affairs. She wanted this job to get done right with no more problems thrown into the mix.

While speaking to Shiki, Aqua turned and focused on Claire for a moment. The woman's gazed was fixed ahead of them, on another woman Aqua didn't recognize. "If you're going to lie about being okay, at least do it with a convincing smile on your face. At least then, maybe you'd be able to convince others--and even yourself--that you actually are all right. I don't think you are." Aqua paused, looking over at the girl Claire had been staring at. "And that stare wasn't a thinking stare. You're looking at someone. Do you know her?" Aqua asked, gesturing in Sophie's direction.

Abel was shocked by her sudden acceptance yet cold attitude towards both him and Red. For a moment, he simply stood there, staring at her back, unable to decide what to do. "What the hell crawled up her ass and died..." The blue-haired teen muttered as he went back to walking with Aqua.
Even Red had thought the same thing as Abel, but he wasn't so sure if Lapis would pick up on that specific thought.

Besides, Red had no idea if they were getting anywhere or what, so he had another idea. Pulling out another pokeball, he sent out his own Psychic-type pokemon, Espeon. As soon as the psychic Eeveelution was out, it immediately tried to use its senses to see if there were any anomalies.
