Government

The European Union is controlled by a series of diplomatic relations between Natural Royal Families that have Delegates in other countries that they rule from the shadows. Example: Hungary has a Natural Royal Family that family has a delegate in Austria which has no Natural Royal Family. The Delegate becomes the Crowned Monarch of the country they are sent to. The claims of Delegates hasn’t been questioned since before the last war.

High Council

Only Royal Family members of Crowned Monarchs can be sent to the High Council. These members discuss the normal things of everyday governments. They do not do these highly important jobs alone as they have armies of staff members that rush about gardening information and messages for them from their respective countries.

The High Council is lead by the current High Monarch which is elected by the Council members alone. Though it is never clearly stated only Natural Royal Family members are elected to be the High Monarch. Council members stay in office for as long as they are wanted by the country that appointed them as their representative.

High Monarch

High Monarchs have many duties but the most important is seeing to it that discussions between the members of the High Council never become overly heated or come to the point of blows or worse even war between the countries that currently disagree about policy. The High Monarch stays in office for ten years before stepping aside gracefully while a new High Monarch is elected.

Inherent Magic

Most inherent magic has been found to be similar dependant on the region of Europe it belongs to. Europe is divided into regions as follows:

Northern Europe - Germany, Poland, Netherlands

Western Europe - France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium

Eastern Europe -Romania, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia, Serbia

Southern Europe - Italy, Greece, Macedonia, Turkey

Each individual country’s Reigning family has an inherent magic that is unique to their bloodlines. The powers listed below are for the entire country next to it.

Northern Europe

The Natural Royals in this region have an affinity with water.

Taking a few tips from their Scandinavian neighbors the magic that is born to these people tend to be vast covering many areas but while holding a few degrees closer to survival techniques than show and display like their opposite European counterparts in the South.


Western Europe

Rigidity in familiarity was the building stones for the expansion in Alchemy and study of natural sciences that bloomed into what many call the heart of Europe. The courtiers eventually developed some alchemy to be more showy like the magic they saw in the southern courts without using as much mana.


Eastern Europe

The Natural Royals in this region have an affinity with earth.

Wild magic thrives in these countries where mystery and seclusion come natural.

Southern Europe

The Natural Royals in this region have an affinity with fire.

Known for their displays of beauty and mastery over the elements to put on enchanting circus acts as well as living art, Southern Europe has been shaped by people around the world who have traveled there via the silk trade and even those who have traveled from other parts of Europe to see the beauty of the region.


Definitions

Natural - To be able to trace one’s lineage back to the time before WW1 without the line having been disrupted and possibly completely destroyed.

Delegate - To be granted the right to rule by an existing ruler of another country due to having very powerful magic.

Affinity - the natural ability to use an element with little to no training. With training a person can become a master of the element they hold affinity with.

Bloodline Magic - This is magic that was developed within the royal families, mostly the Natural Royals. The princes and princess are taught to call upon this magic as if it is second nature.

United European Union High Council

Name: Father Alessio Cavalo
Age: 37
Resume: Father Alessio Cavalo grew up in a Vatican Orphanage within the Holy City itself. Already from a young age, he was inspired by the Holy Church, and strived to join it once he became of age. He is a man who devotes himself to the Pope and the Church, going as far as leading the Order of August Vigil, a militant sect of priest warriors. As the representative of the Holy Vatican and Italy, he makes sure that all terms are in order with their ideology and worship of God. Within the court, he is the voice of the Pope.

Name: Charlemagne Beaumont
Age: 72
Resume: Charlemagne. The High Chancellor of the French Monarch is also the representative of his nation. He is known for his beauty and eternal youth, despite being older than some monarchs of the world. While he looks like a man in his early twenties, it is merely his magic that has allowed him to appear eternally young. He is however extremely wise, and acts as a great strategist in the Union’s time of need. His magic remains a mystery, as the Chancellor never took to the battlefield himself.

Name: Bianca Fidalgo
Age: 26
Resume: More famously known as the Passion of Spain. Bianca embraces the fiery and hot emotions of her people, and thus it comes to play in her magic. Other than possessing outrageous amount of magic in her arsenal, she is also close related to the current Spanish Monarch. She however have no ambition to become a Queen herself, but instead fills in the position as the delegate from her nation. Within the Council, Bianca is the passion that drives the Union.

Name: Djin Aslan
Age: 35
Resume: Representing the most militant state within the Union. One of the many princes within the Ottoman lineage. He is the military leader as well as possessing fearsome magic when it comes to military application. He is a man who would rather lead from the frontlines than from a desk. Within the Union’s politics, he is the military advisor.

Name: Siegfried Hartsturm
Age: 32
Resume: Credited as the Count of Thunder. He is a high political profile within the Union, acting as Germany’s future heir to the throne. Related to former great general Sofia Hartsturm, it is natural that he is active within the German Army as well. He often takes the role of the Law within the Union. His stone cold demeanor along with the wrath of the Blitz makes him a fearsome leader.

Name: Noah Anker
Age: 29
Resume: Noah is a trustworthy adviser to Queen Amelia of the Netherlands. An Acadia Student graduate with flying colors. He belongs to a lower noble house under the nobility of the Dutch people. While he is an aristocrat, he has no claim to the throne, and thus serve his Kingdom as best as he can by being part of the High Council. His affinity is water, but he is exceptionally good at transforming his magic into a frozen blizzard.

Age: 24
Resume: Heir to the Portuguese Throne. Cezar since his youth was a famous explorer and adventurous spirit. He has made friends all over the world during his travel and secured many trade ports to the Union through his connections. A talented naval commander and cunning trader, Cezar is in charge of the Union’s financial affair.

Name: Veronika Tepes
Age: 22
Resume: The Princess to the Romanian Royal Bloodline. Her blood can be traced back to the legend of Vlad Tepes, who gave birth to the myth of vampires and Dracula. There is a hint of truth in each tale, but her people are not a bunch of bloodsucking undeads. In-fact, they are talented Thaumaturgist, second to none and equal only to Hungary. She is the youngest member of the council and represents the will of Romania. Her nation is highly respected within the Union together with Hungary. Due to the geopolitical position of Hungary and Romania, they are usually where all the battles will take place should war break-out with the Confederacy.

Resume: Second to the throne. He believes in rigid control over all matters of life. His specialty is erecting large fortresses of forests complete with ents (tree people) who defend the fortress.

Resume: The third in line to the throne it was seen as a better use of her time to become the representative of the crown.

Name: Icarus Mavrocordatos
Age: 47
Resume: Icarus is the third son of the Greek Monarch. He is known for his stern demeanor. He is a follower of Hestia granting him phenomenal usage of embers magic. He has led many battles to victory with his brilliant tactics. His tactics and might rivalled the legendary Achilles. He is the also the Greek Monarch's military advisor.

Name: Matilda Attila
Age: 25
Resume: The royal princess and fifth in line to the throne. She’s considered a bit of genius due to her love of creating new little gadgets that have varying rates of success. Sometimes things are safe other times not so much. Matilda is a master alchemist. She can even perform tricker forms of her magic such as transmutation.

Name: Antoni Lisiewicz
Age: 26
Resume: Antoni is a rather young steam wielder from Poland. His powers are very centralized around creating steam he can possess into becoming the living ghost of his warrior ancestors. Much like the rest of the people from his home town, the power of bending water is a natural to him, the extreme temperatures that the steam created can reach incredible temperatures due to the mana used to ensure its potent enough. The summoning of spirits was granted to the Polish for their ancestry in great cavalries; Allowing for them to tap into that very thing to make their powers stronger. Poland is seen as a fairly kept-to-themselves kind of state, very rarely meddling in other business that doesn’t concern them, but whenever they are brought in, better believe they will defend their point of view tooth and nail.

Resume: Nicknamed Jack Frost, Erik is a quiet man often letting his mere presence do his talking for him. He is the second in the line of succession to the throne. His most powerful spell is known as Jack’s breath. Using his own breath he can freeze anything including lava.

Name: Cyril Dragoslav
Age: 26
Resume: An acknowledged genius within the magic world of golems and alchemy. Cyril with his magic over mud has created both beautiful and terrifying golems for both civic and military uses. It is said that the Czechia Army is composed of golems controlled by mages who follows Cyril’s teachings. Cyril is of lesser noble-birth, but with skilled political maneuvers, he married himself into the 2nd Princess’ hand.

Name: Kamilla Zima
Age: 31
Resume: Prefers to go by “Kami” when she introduces herself to other people. Kamilla Zima is the 12th in line for the Slovak Throne, yet she is a renowned Countess of her people. Credited for building the most elite army within her private Estate, she is a strong-headed woman who masters the way of Stone. In her part-time, she goes by her artistic name of Kalista, who creates the most beautiful artistic stone sculptors in Europe. No one knows that Kami is Kalista, and she prefers it that way.

Age: 22
Resume: Sabel is the second cousin of Matilda Attila as well as the third in line to the throne of Austria. She is excellent at raising the dead and is considered strange even among her family. This strangeness is credited to why she and Matilda get along so well.

Name: Dimitri Norvak
Age: 26
Resume: Despite being the product of a young willful prince and a chamber maid, Dimitri was raised as part of the royal household. He is skilled in summoning large ents to do menial work for himself and others. He is far from humble and has ambitions of changing the way Europe is run even if no one supports his efforts.

Age: 27
Resume: An excellent herbalist, Urie is known for his wonderful teas brewed from fresh herbs. He can summon tiny green men, at type of ent, to assist him in his work making tea. He is a very skilled herbalist that was sent to the council by his king who happens to be his father. Due his mother not being the queen he is an illegitimate son and has no claim to the throne.

Name: Asher Boris
Age: 27
Resume: Handy with firearms to the point he doesn’t require gunpowder and merely his magic, Asher is the region’s best smithy. He doesn’t know what was going through his King’s head when he sent him to the Council but he decided he would do as he was told rather than lose usages of his fingers.

Resume: With a love a dancing she has learned to take her obsidian magic and form her attire so that it shines and reflects light like polished metal. She is second in line throne and will hold her position with the council unless something happens to her older brother.

Resume: Lustful and having a fiery nature Ema is known for have a short temper while being very flirty with everyone. She is the adoptive daughter of the current ruler of Bosnia.
