Hi there darlings! Just a few facts about me; I go by MC, I am extremely bad at making eye contact(good thing we're behind computer screens), I love writing long winded nonsense, and I have a bad habit of pushing up my glasses and touching the lenses(I've had them my whole life, this has just recently developed I am just as upset as you might be).

I have been roleplaying for awhile now but took a long hiatus for about a year because the site I used to use has slowly died out because it started become a cash cow and not a user friendly place. Also other websites I have attempted using either had people who would one line me into oblivion or people who would write 12 paragraphs but only two were something I could work off of. So now that I am back and looking I really am putting a lot of faith into this site and this community.

Roleplaying wise I am a bit of a cliche loser. I am currently obsessed with Beyond the Boundary(Kyoukai no Kanata), Harry Potter(Forever and always), and Sherlock Holmes. Non-fandom things I love is anything Fantasy, Sci-fi, and anything that is a little twisted. I'm not a fan of big group roleplays and prefer smaller ones(preferably one on one). So, I'm going to wrap it all up with what might be the deal breaker for everyone.

I mainly roleplay gay couples and I struggle to write straight characters but I am aiming to improve that so if anyone wants to push me out of my comfort zone bring it on sweetie.

I also love long complicated plots, I just recently closed out a roleplay that my partner and I had kept going for a year and a half.

So I think I've rambled enough and filled a lot of space with nonsense(I'm sorry), but I hope this place thrives and I hope to be part of the growing community. Thank you guys!

If you're looking to be part of the growing community, then you're absolutely in the right spot. We've been open 21 days and we have over 150 members so far (@____@) and can barely keep up, hahaha.

Fantasy is awesome. We've got a few pretty good fantasy RPs up and going, though most of them are group-type things. What was the RP you kept going for a year and a half? That's some crazy dedication.

Yeah I love fantasy, its very easy to go off and make amazing characters or even stock characters in. I'm fully willing to give it a go at group roleplays! Though I imagine I can use the PM system or something if I find someone willing to roleplay one on one, right?

Haha believe it or not it started as a smut roleplay. Completely porn without plot, me and an old roleplaying partner were just tired of putting so much effort into roleplays with people just for them to just throw badly scripted lines at us then practically molest our characters. It was going to be a parody of that then we got carried away and it ended up being the complex, in-depth, and a little bit torrid romance story between our two male characters. They were our mains we had used in another story and just adapted them and it ended up being like a melodrama but what really made it work was we talked to each other outside of it and didn't pressure each other to respond if we weren't feeling it. Honestly it hurt a little closing it down because we invested so much time into it and that was my most developed character I had ever made so it was a little stressful deciding the plot really could go no further.

Hey! Thanks @Almighty.Person.Me ! I mainly used Vampire Freaks, Bloodletting, and a few other sites that never turned into anything or lost their domain. I loved both VF and BL they were my favorites but suddenly the good roleplayers dropped off the planet or became so involved in their little ring it became difficult to intermingle.

Oh, you can totally have a thread to yourselves, too! 1x1's are supported here - so long as they fit within the guidelines. I also like how you subverted expectations - even your own!

Hey there and welcome to Storyteller's Circle! And Rorshach is indeed correct. You don't need to hide away in PMs. You're more than welcome to post up 1x1 roleplays in our forums. We even allow roleplays with mature themes in them as long as they're properly tagged as mature, and follow our loose guidelines. We have a number of players on site already that are interested in 1x1 and romance themed roleplays.

The big thing is to just make sure everything is clearly labeled and tagged so people can avoid content they might not be comfortable with, or aren't trying to join 1x1 roleplays on accident without realizing that they're already full up.
 
Why thank you @Rorshach's Journal I probably will have a few questions sooner or later, I'm going to go crawl around the rules threads and such first.

@Tiko Thank you! Okay got it! Nothing raunchy or Jerry Springer-esque... and make sure I tag it. Is there a list of tags anywhere I should know of or will that be revealed to me if I get to the point of creating my own roleplay thread?
 
The only mandatory one is 'mature' if the roleplay contains adult themes. The rest are just what ones you want to use to make your roleplay informative to other users.And usually I'll sweep through and add useful tags that help google bots sort our stuff.
