Ancient Forest (1X1)

She nods. "When I go to town for clothes, I'll see about something to help. " She smiles a little.

He nods and stands up, starting to leave but he pauses at the door. "You know... I typically don't respect humans all that much, but I serve the same purpose as my brothers. So... if you ever need me for anything, I'll be there."

She looks to him at his words. She nods slightly at what he said. "I appreciate that a lot. " She says. And she did because she knew it couldn't be easy for him to be nice to her.

He then leaves her alone once again, mostly leaving the sounds of the woods surrounding her hut softly hitting her eardrums. There was the occasional rustling, but it was just the brothers doing their own thing.

She listens to him leave, gazing out the door he has left from. She looks down at the pendant for a moment as she thinks quietly.

The sounds of the brothers and the forest strangely soothing to her. Before she realized she had done it ,she had drifted off a little.

A brother wandered by the hut as she was sleeping, and entered just to keep an eye on her. He sat near the entrance and stayed as quiet as he could, not wanting to disturb her.

Sarah slept again for a little while but not as long as she stirs a little. She blinks a bit and rubs her head as she sits up.

She looks to see the brother there. She smiles a little. "Hey." She says.

Young Blue sat there in the corner, seeming to start dozing off himself until she spoke. "Oh, uh, hey. I, uh... I just wanted to make sure you'd be okay sleeping in here.."

She nods softly, smiling a little to him. "Yes I'm okay. Was just little tired is all." She rubs her head then smiles a bit. "Think I'll run to town soon. Just need a few supplies." She says and moves to stand up.

He nods and stays where he is, not really sure how to respond. "You'll be okay in town on your own?" The instant he asked that he knew it was a stupid question. She was a grown-up, of course she could take care of herself alone.

She smiles at his question. She nods a bit. "I should be. I'm used to traveling a lot." She says and moves to stand up. "Shouldn't take me too long either. Just have to get a few things." She says.

She smiles warmly to him and nods. "That is probably a good idea. Don't need him to worry. " She steps out of the hut with him and looks around.

It wasn't hard to figure out what she needed when she went to town, so she was making the list in her head as she walked.

He started back into the woods to find his brothers, Red in particular. He was hoping Sarah would be okay, but he figured she would since she knew how to take care of herself.

Sarah made her way through the forest back towards the town. By the time she had reached the outskirts of the town she had made the list in her mind of what she needed. Her first stop though was to get her money so she could purchase everything.

When her mother had passed, she had left Sarah with a rather comfortable amount so Sarah would never worry over money.

Once she got the money out, she went to the stores. She got clothes, a backpack, some food she liked but wouldn't need to refrigerate. Some food she thought the brothers might like, a blanket and pillow. A bathing suit so if she decided to swim again. Then some of the other supplies she might need, including a first aid kit.

Once she got all of that together, she managed to fit it into two bags. A backpack and another bag she carried on hand.

She made her way to the library to to the little research she had wanted to look into. All the while she had felt like she was being watched and had stayed alert at all times. Her pendant hidden beneath her necklace.

When Red heard what Sarah was up to, he quickly became concerned. But she had told him about wanting to go into town, so he tried to relax and not follow her, no matter how badly he wanted to. But something kept nagging at him, that he tried to dismiss as paranoia but... well, what could he do?

Once at the library she had managed to find some books on the history of the forest and the ruins. She took to studying then for a few minutes as she skimmed the pages.

So far nothing stuck out to her. As she got up, she went to check another book but found an elder man staring at her. She blinks slightly then looks away and heads back to the shelves to find another book.

Soon enough Red couldn't resist it anymore. He flew up into the air high enough so that he'd be able to see where the town was, then started towards it. Of course, he'd have to hide himself once he got there, but he looked enough like a normal teenager when he hid his wings that hopefully he'd be able to manage it. The big problem would just be trying to find her after he hid his wings.

Sarah had managed to find an old leather bound book that told of the supernatural history of the area. The ghost stories as most would call them.

She brought it back to the table and started to look through it curiously. Feeling that eyes were on her, she looked around only to find the same strange old man looking at her.

Unsure what to make of him, she looks away and starts reading about a story about the forest.

Suddenly the elder man was at her side. His voice rough with age. "Some things should be left alone. " She stared into his eyes. They were golden and was the only thing that gave way to the lie of his age.

A tremble ran down her spine.

He nods. "Be scared girl. They'll kill you soon enough." He said then got up and left.

Sarah sat there staring at where he had been. The pendant felt warm against her skin. Unease had settled into her.

The demon landed as soon as he hit the border of town, not wanting anyone to see him up in the air. He hid his wings quickly and started off. He didn't know the town at all so it would be all up to luck to help him find her.

He remembered that she had something about wanting to shop for supplies, and something about studying up on what they were. So he started looking around the shops he passed by, not seeing any sign of her. Now he was really starting to get worried.

As he wandered the streets, passing by a particular restaurant, he stopped dead in his tracks and backed up. Right at the table next to the window was a group of humans laughing and talking and enjoying themselves. They didn't notice him staring at them, a hungry look in his eyes. Something about them just seemed so... right. He knew it'd be better to pass by, act like he never saw them, but there was a voice nagging at the back of his mind to do the one thing he hoped he'd never have to do again.
