Ancient Forest (1X1)

The river remained quiet for now as the creature had returned to the depth of the water. For now it seemed.

Sarah had managed to drift asleep as she laid there but soon woke startled. She was trembling again but pushed her thinking aside. It had to have been the nightmares again.

Green quickly returned with a homemade baseball bat shaped out of a fallen branch, sturdy enough to hopefully do some damage to that thing. Upon seeing that his brother returned, he took a deep breath and ran a hand through the water, trying to catch the fish's attention one more time.

It seemed to take a few minutes but soon the fish had returned to the surface. Hungry and in search of food. It's jaws snapping

Green quickly hovered behind the fish and swung the bat down like a club to its head. Meanwhile Purple was supposed to be grabbing ahold of it, but seeing how it had almost drowned Sarah he was hesitant, not wanting to end up the same way.

The strike to the fish' head stunned it enough that it flopped and rolled to its side a moment. It was large, about four feet in length.

"Purple, grab it!" Purple was still hesitant, but he got a grip on the creature and pulled up onto the shore, trying to hold it down but keeping his hands away from those teeth. Meanwhile Green went around to the head, makeshift club in hand, and started clubbing the fish with the intention to kill it.

Soon it stopped thrashing and lay still. Clearly it had passed from the beating it had received. It was large in size. Teeth that were about two inches long.

The boys relaxed and stepped away from the creature once it was dead, not knowing what to do with it. Green ended up tossing it back in the water, thinking that if it had died in the water some other creatures would feed off of it, and they'd do the same if it just went back to the water. The brothers then started back to the woods. They were uncertain if that fish was what grabbed Sarah, but at least there was a little less risk now.

Sarah had drifted in and out of sleep before finally staying awake and staring out the door of her hut. She was relaxed but the warmth of her hut helped with that. What had grabbed her and what the man said in the town? It troubled her.

Soon enough Purple poked his head in, a little nervous smile on his face. "Well... we got rid of something. We're not sure if it's really what grabbed you, but at least those waters are a little less dangerous. Of course, it might still be a good idea to avoid that river for a little while, just to be safe."

She blinks a little as she looks at him. "What was it and are you Okay? No one got hurt did they?" She questions with worry in her eyes.

"Some kind of giant fish. At least, that's what we beat down. And no one got hurt, so you don't have to worry." His smile widened a little as he tried to reassure her, though he seemed a little unsure himself.

She nods a little. " I'm glad you are okay. I was worried. " She says honestly. She manages to smile as well to him.

She smiles a bit to him and nods. "I suppose you are right about that." She says to him.

She watches him go for a moment then looks to her wound. Satisfied that it was still good and nicely bandaged, she decided to eat something.

She snacked a little and drank some water. She thought again about the old man. Taking out her camera ,she began looking through the pictures she had taken before.

The demons didn't bother her for a while, though Red was occasionally spotted amongst the trees as he tried to keep an eye on her. Then he just sort of stopped coming by. That wouldn't last the whole day, though... would it?

She looked through the camera a few more times before she set it aside. She rubs her head a little but spent most of her day in the hut relaxing. After a while she started to feel lonely there by herself.

Everything was quiet now, only the wind brushing against the trees could be heard. Where were those brothers? They couldn't have gone too far, could they?
