Ancient Forest (1X1)

Sarah looks to him. "The village. Maybe they know something. "She says to him not realizing he was thinking of the same thing.

He smiles to her and simply gives a little nod, then started on his way in the direction of the village. Part of him was still uncertain about going back, but as long as he and Sarah were on the same page it felt best to keep going.

Sarah walked with him towards the village. She hoped that the chief had some answers for them. Something.

This time he went straight to the closer end of the village, not going around like he had last time. There was almost a sense of urgency about him, he had to know what was going on, not just so his brothers could be safe but so Sarah would be safe as well. After all, they didn't know whether that voice was speaking of the demons or of Sarah's bloodline.

Once they reached the village, once Red stepped foot into the sunlight, he could already feel a few sets of eyes on him. But he ignored it as best he could, focused on going straight to the chief.

The chief moved forward once he saw the two. "Is everything alright?" He asks noticing the concern in both their eyes.

"Something happened just now back at the ruins, and we're not sure what it means. We were wondering if you could help us in any way, cause we can't read the ruins to try and figure it out." Red tried to keep calm, keep his usual calm composure, but after what had just happened he was noticeably nervous.

The chief regards them both for a moment then nods. "Come let's sit and talk." He leads the way to his large hit where he met and spoke with others. "Tell me what happened."

He seemed a little nervous about entering the hut, but did so since they needed to get help about this. "To be honest, we're not completely sure. The area started turning dark, then there was this laugh from seemingly nowhere, and a voice that said something about getting stronger and someone being slaves again. We're not sure whether this voice was talking about Sarah's bloodline, or me and my brothers. The more I think about it, though, the former seems a bit more logical." He turned to Sarah as he said the last part with an apologetic look on his face.

The chief looked sad and nods a bit. "The old stories tell of a being. The very being that killed most of your line also ruled over some of it. It wanted to keep that control over the bloodline which in turn allowed him control over you." He shakes his head. "If he is getting stronger...then he was merely sealed away and it trying to break out. Once out...there may be no stopping him."

He seemed a bit startled at this, then turned back to Sarah. "Wonder if that was the hand that kept popping out of the river. That would explain a lot...." He then took a deep breath as he turned back to the chief. "Is there any way we can stop him from getting out?"

Sarah shivers a little. She was a bit freaked out now but stayed calm.

The chief shakes his head slightly. "Im not sure. Those who sealed him are long gone but it is possible the river was used to seal him."

"So we just have to keep him under the river somehow... Well, hopefully we can manage that." The demon seemed a little nervous, but apparently trying to keep a positive attitude.

The chief nods. "I will see what we can do. Come see my again at night fall. I may have a solution." He says and moves to his feet.

Sarah nods a little and hoped that was true.

"To be honest... I'm kind of scared too. But maybe if the chief can come up with something, and we follow his advice, we should be able to keep this thing away from us."

Even Red seemed a bit unsure if what he was saying was true, but they'd just have to wait and see. He was sincerely hoping this would work, as he didn't want anyone, or anything, acting like they could command him, his brothers, or Sarah, and expect them to come running when he called.

Sarah nods a little and moved with him. "We should tell the others what we found out..."

"Of course. Only so they know to be careful. ..Like the first warning didn't do enough for that." He chuckled a little, nervously, and ended up walking her back to her hut.
