Conley Brothers

He nodded and smiled "if its ok" he didn't want to trouble Vlad "if you need sleep though it's ok.."

"Let me check on the twins briefly, then I can do a circuit with you," Vlad said with a smile. He stepped over to the wagon door and looked inside. The twins had curled up in the top bed and seemed to be settling down well. He closed the door and turned back to Star. "Right! Shall we get going?"

"Let's walk around the edges," Vlad said, smiling at Star's enthusiasm. He started walking, following the outside edge where the citizens were artfully guided away toward the center of the circus. All the flashy lights pointed in, leaving the back side quiet and calm.

He was a curiouse fellow, looking at wverything in total fascination? Looking in at thr center of the circus curiously whenever there was a gap but much too nervous to go out there where other people were "so many people..." he said a little nervously

"You will not have to deal with them unless you want to," Vlad assured him. "There is always something to do in the circus, especially in the back. Taking care of the animals, fixing the equitment, things like that."

"I don't know how to fix things though and animals are scared of me" he pointed out, his tail dragged a bit now "but I want to help...I don't want be a burden"

"You will be helping by keeping an eye on things for now, and I will teach you other jobs," Vlad told him. "I do not expect you to know how to do everything, and I am happy to teach you what I can."

That seemed to cheer him up, his tail swaying happily again. He was a good kid and seemed generally happy just shy at first

"Anyplace I should not go?"

"Try not to get too close to the wagons. Since not everyone knows you yet, they might get the wrong idea and think you are the bad guy, but they will soon learn to recognize you. It just takes time for everyone to learn a new face," Vlad assured him. "Keep clear of the animal cages, but other than that, you should be fine."

He nodded "ok. I can do that easy" he said, noting everything carefully no wagons no animals" he repeated and smiled

"Very good," Vlad smiled. "And if you see anything at all that you think is suspicious, you came tell me or Miss Camilla right away. Get a good look if you can, but don't get too close. And do not worry if it turns out to be a false alarm. I would rather you tell me ten false alarms and one true alarm then to miss even one true alarm. Okay?"

He nodded "yes...ok Tell you or miss Camilla" he said "uhm..where do I find Miss Camilla?" He had no idea which wagon and he had just been told not to go near the wagons

Vlad took him around to where the three wagons belonging to Felix, Camilla, and Leon stood. "That one is hers," he said, point out the correct one. "She will help you if you ever need it."

He nodded a little, the one with no light at the moment, meant she had gone to bed

"Who are in the other two?" He asked curiously

"That one belongs to the owner of the circus, Mr. Felix Conley," Vlad said, pointing it out. "If there is something very, very wrong, we tell him, but he does not like to be disturbed when sleeping. He gets cranky. That one is Mr. Conley's brother, Leon Conley. Leon Conley is..." he hesitated, thinking of how to say it. "Not very helpful in a lot of situations. He does not always know exactly what is going on in order to help. Still, if Felix Conley is not around, Leon is technically the second in command."

Star nodded, silently committing it all to memory. "Are you third in command then?" He asked innocently, having no idea how any of it worked but he would learn given time

Vlad chuckled softly. "I am touched you think so highly of me, but no. The third in command is..." He paused, thinking. "I am not sure there is one, really... we sort of all look after ourselves."

"Well..then I guess you are third in command then" he grinned they all were right? If after them they were all equal "and you are important. To me and to the twins and miss Camilla...."
