Conley Brothers

As she did her act, her eyes shifted colors. She didn't put on the fake smiles like Spectra. Though there was a smile there and a change in her act. Subtle but noticeable to anyone paying close enough attention. A gentle wind had joined the dance and a soft hum under tbe sounds of clapping and cheers that Adanya ignored.

"My..never seen her get into it that much" Spectra mused softly

"The audiance is such a powerful thing when pleased! The positive energy practically feeds the soul!" Kazimir said happily.

Spectra shook her head "Not for Adanya. She doesn't like people. She doesn't like to preform but she does for the cats...and for you I think" she smirked

Kazimir gave Spectra a confused glance before he turned back to watching Adanya. "If she does not like to perform... Ah, because that is what the Ringmaster requires to have a home?"

Spectra nodded "exactly" she confirmed.
"Kaz...I haven't ever seen her light up like this. I don't know how or why but..you make her happy I think" she said more directly

Kazimir turned to look at Spectra, considering. "I enjoy making people happy," he said quietly. "All people, and usually, I am very good at it, but usually the longer I am with someone, the more I like them... the less they like me. They find me annoying, as Vladimir does." He sighed, turning to watch Adanya again. "She deserves much happiness, and I hope she can enjoy it before she starts to dislike me. It is good to see her happy."

Spectra watched him for a moment, finding her heart going out to him. Such a gentle soul "Kaz..why do you think that?" She asked gently

Adanyaa performance came to a close with the cats lining up behind her and following her back stage once more

Kazimir shrugged as he watched Adanya. "That is just how things are. My personal curse, I suppose you could call it." He brightened. "Oh, she has finished! And the crowd loves it! Good. This crowd has good taste."

Adanya glanced back only once to make sure all the cats were in line before she looked around for Kaz, excited to see if he had enjoyed the show

Kaz smiled at her and gave a little bow before clapping enthusiastically. "That was so amazing! So magnificent! I have seen many things, but nothing like that."

Adanya beamed at his praise, her eyes still subtly shifting colors. One of the big lines rubbed up against his legs "really? You liked it that well?"

"Of course! How could I not?" Kaz looked down at the big cat and gave in to the temptation to sink his fingers gently into its mane. "So soft!" he purred.

Spectra smiled and moved off to help some of the others getting ready for their act.

Adanya smiled as she watched him. A couple of the other lions walked over and rubbed against him too which made her smile more. "They like you. I've never seen them do that to anyone else"

Kazimir watched them, hypnotized. Suddenly, tears sprang to his eyes. "They are so beautiful! And I am so honored," he nearly whispered as he gently rubbed the lion's backs in tiny circular motions then brushed their manes again. "I am not worthy of their affections."

"I must disagree with that" Adanya said "come. Help me take them back so they can rest awhile?" Not that she needed help but the cats seemed to want to hang around him

"Spectra was showing me the circus," Kazimir said, glancing around. "Oh, she has left. Then I shall be happy to help!" He stroked the smallest lion gently then started carefully moving out of the furry circle. "Do we go to their trailer?"

Adanya nodded "follow me" she said before simply heading off. The animals following though no longer in a straight line as she lead the way.

They had to take the back way so the cats wouldn't be distracted by mundane folk.

The trailer was waiting quiet and undisturbed. "Will you stay? In the circus?"

"For a while," Kazimir said, smiling at the big cats and watching their swinging tails. "Until Vladimir tires of me. I like his boys. They are sweet, but he can stand me for only so long, like most people. Then I will find another place to be."

"Oh..." was all she said, falling very quickly back into her stand offish nature. Stopping to open the trailer door and letting the cats jump in one by one

Kazimir counted them as he watched them jump inside. Once they were all in, he asked, "You are all contracted to stay, yes?"
