"Well that's a very kind thing to say," Blair replied, "You can all go out back, there's a table of food out there, you'll see it immediately. Oh, well. You know what I mean." She stepped to the side to let them in. Her house was perfect, like all of the pintrest girlies gathered together to craft it. Even the family portrait on the wall was carefully posed. But there wasn't a scrap of it that felt personal, at least not where guests had access to.
Out in the yard, Sloan got up and hurried to the twins as soon as she saw them, wearing a pale orange dress that wasn't her usual style with her hair up in a bun, "Hey guys, I'm so glad you're here." Seeing them, a short, thin man wearing khakis walked up, waving a bit awkwardly.
"Hi Dark, hi Daizi. These are your kids, right? You've been busy. Hard to go from zero to three kids in a year without having triplets." He waved at the twins, "It's good to see you boys again. I hope things have quieted down a bit, Slug was telling me awhile ago it was hard to focus on school because of the noise. I remember those days."
Sloan looked at her dad, eyes lightly wide, and then at Xander specifically, before pretending like she hadn't heard anything at all.
