It was actually Dark who was sitting with drum, a bodhrán specifically. It was actually something Daizi had bought for her rituals, and something Dark had really only learned to play because for when she asked for his help with them. Having live, rhythmic music, at times, helped for what she was trying to achieve.
This, however, was no ritual, and he nodded to the twins when they entered. It only took Daizi a moment of confused about the additional sounds before recognizing the twins were home. She was standing up, facing where Ivy was sitting propt up on the couch, absolutely delighted.
Trickster came a'calling To find a totem here
To teach the foolish heart of man
Without installing fear. Daizi sang, doing her best to act out the song for her daughter.
Bear and Cat and Tiger tried but had too many claws.
When she sang, Dog and Wolf though wise indeed
Had teeth t'were quite the fright which Ivy was absolutely thrilled by.
And Owl with his tawny eyes could only see at night.
"No, " the Trickster said at last
"Teachers, I see many.
But My way is full of laughter and in you I see not any."
When the lyrics about the crow, coyote, rabbit, and raven came, she struggled a bit with not being able to tell the twins apart, but she hoped it made sense she indicated Alec as the Raven, tasked to steal the sun and Xander as the coyote, to teach men by our naughtiness what really should be right, and Dark as the Crow, tasked to teach men of pride and helping. Ivy, of course, she made the rabbit, whose very simple humbleness would steal the hearts of men.
