Alec hopped off his bed and went to open the door. "Hi, Ba!" He stepped back and held open the door for Dark to come in.
The twins' room truly looked as if two people lived there. On Xander's side, there was the long stuffed snake, a couple of large plastic horse toys, and a handful of books on subjects he was interested in like horses, cookbooks, and leather working. The immediate area around his bed and his wardrobe was empty and clean. Not a thing on the floor, not a poster on the wall, nothing extra.
To say the other half of the room was Alec's would be not entirely true as Alec's things had clearly overtaken more than the halfway mark. As he'd said, there were clear paths to both beds and the back window, easily wide enough for someone like Daizi to enter. Every square inch of surface otherwise had something in it. Clothes, books, toys, stuffed animals, mementos, homework, broken items, and artistry supplies. Posters and papers covered the wall around his crowded and buried bed. There were even a couple taped to the ceiling. It was an explosion of color and things.
