How Green Becomes Wood

"She's a bit chaotic but she gets it from her mother," Cooger teased, "Then again, I bet if you got enough babies with bells, it'd end up at least somewhat rhythmic. Call it Baby Jazz."

"Until the chocolate is gone," Xander said.

Alec tipped his mug back and licked his lips. "Mine's gone. And we need time to explore the decoration section!"

Xander gave him a serious look. "One ornament for each of us. One. Maybe some garland or something. It's all gotta work together. Cool?"

"Cool," Alec sighed.

"There's also a petting zoo here, and I think camel rides," Cooger mused, "They also breed golden retrievers, so sometimes we can see the puppies. Either way, there's a good amount left to see."

"If there are puppies, I want to see puppies," Alec stated.

"I'm good without the camel ride," Xander shrugged. "Maybe next year. But puppies are cool."

"We might get swarmed by little kids at the petting zoo," Alec mused.

"We'll do whatever you feel like," Cooger shrugged, getting off the carriage ride, "What do you want to do next? Inside there's the Blizzard, which is just a walkway through a snowy cylinder which spins around and makes you dizzy."

"Of course I will," Cooger promised, paying for the trip through the tunnel, "After y'all."

Inside, it was just about what Cooger had described. A dark walkway with a brightly illuminated spinning tunnel which made it seem as though the walkway was moving despite it being perfectly still. The tunnel itself was decorated with snowflakes to suit the blizzard theme.

Xander stepped forward confidently, though somewhat unsure as the colors swirled around them. After a few steps, he got his bearings despite the rather dizzying effect of the spinning tunnel. Alec followed behind him, having a little bit of trouble adjusting, mostly because he didn't feel he could trust his feet. He caught hold of Xander's sleeve at one point, and that did help to ground him until they reached the end of the tunnel.

"That was weird," Alec stated, "but kind of fun. Who came up with that idea?"

Cooger had done it a few times so he was fairly prepared to deal with it, although he did still get a bit dizzy, "I dunno. Probably someone who wanted to show kids what it's like to be drunk. Pretty fun, though!"
