"Oh... that's kind of sad," Alec admitted. "I didn't really think the angelic thing was true, but I had hoped it would be somewhere in the middle."

"I mean, I love my sister more than anyone, but girl puberty is a nightmare," Claire assured him.

"I am so sorry you have to go through that," Alec said seriously. "Boy puberty mostly makes you feel like everything you do is wrong, you're an ugly mess, and you really want to either cry or hit something or both."
