Land Down Under (KJDarKnight & Treasure)

"Bows take time to make" he said as he sat down to eat "Wow Charlie... you've really outdone yourself here" he smiled.
Charlie grinned in response "thanks! Thought we all deserved a nice treat" they had been through a lot

"Well looks amazing Charlie" he smiled

Lynna nodded. "I am sorry I ever doubted you, Charlie! Anyway, Mathias, I'll bet we can get things fine. We just need to learn a few skills."

Charlie smiled "That's ok, it was an experiment, could have just as easily turned out disgusting"

Mathias smiled "As long as no food is wasted in your experimenting, enjoy because this is quite good" he said before looking up at Lynna and gave a nod "I'm sure we can, we all need to learn"

Lynna nodded and finished eating rapidly. "I'm going to go make some more bricks to cook up later. Need anything else?"

"We can always use more of those bricks" Mathias said "I'm all good here" he glanced at Charlie "I can clean up and then come help you Lynna, I don't need anything"

Mathias smirked "Yes, ma'am" he said, glancing up at Arena returned from taking care of her wolf "come sit with us" he invited and nodded to the food

"We should be thanking you for these" Mathias said

The rest of the fay passed uneventful and the night was calm.

Justira woke some time in the night but didn't get up.

Morning came early, the soft light coming in through the entrance, the snow made the light a soft white instead of yellow

Badru rose early and went to check that the water was melted, the fire still burning, and the path was clear of snow. He saw Arena and her wolf out and about already, but he left her be. She was probably used to living by her own rules without needing to tell anyone what she was doing or where she was going.

Gray gently nudged Justira's arm. He hadn't been able to keep himself holding her all night, but now he sat next to her, watching her sleep.

Justira blinked and looked up at him, smiling faintly before pushing herself to sit up "misty is well?" She signed

Misty was awake again but didn't want to move. Her body sore but otherwise fine

Gray nodded. "Yes! Thanks to you. You should go see her. Jonah and Pepper are very grateful to you."

Jonah hadn't woken yet and lay stretched out next to her, snoring away.

"I will when they get up" she signed, smiling how Misty was using Jonah as a pillow, even from there she could tell she was happy, that was good to see

Justira accepted the hand up but unexpectedly had to hold on to him for balance, feeling faint for a moment. Yes food was definitely needed

Peter was more than a little excited tl go out hunting, already up and pulling on his newly mended shoes

Gray steadied Justira and made sure she was stable before leading her slowly to the fire and, hopefully, breakfast.

Badru smiled when he saw the boy and walked over to join him. "First, food," he told Peter softly. "Feed us to get food."

Charlie had gotten up early and already had a pan of potatoes going and a pot of gravy with rabbit meat. A good hearty breakfast.

Peter looked up at him "I'm too excited to eat!" He finished tying his shoe and get up "can't we eat when we get back?"

Gray sat Justira down near the fire and sniffed. Turning to Justira, he signed, "It smells very good!"

Badru smiled faintly. "I will eat, but you do not have to. You will feel it later if you do not, but it is your choice."

Pepper overheard and smiled faintly "no you will eat" she corrected "you're a growing boy. No skipping meals you hear?"

"Yes mamma" Peter sighed and set his coat back down before going to join them at the fire.

Justira smiled "Charlie is a very good cook" she complimented though Charlie did not know sign

Badru smiled faintly. He would have taken something along to give Peter this time, but sometimes exerience was better than knowledge. Still, Pepper was a good mother, and it was no wonder she wouldn't hear of Peter skipping a meal. He sat down and waited for Charlie to finish.

Gray nodded. "I feel he gets better every day."
