Stahlhiem: College of Magic (Rebooted!) IC

What. What. What did he mean 'School started a week ago.'? That wagon driver promised him he would arrive on time! Ohohohohoh there are going to be repercussions if Harrison ever sees that slimy git again. After a sharp intake of breath, followed by a slowly calming release, Harrison looked down at the person. "Great. Juuuust great." He groaned, taking a bite out of a wrap to soothe his sorrows. Deciding that most was already lost, he decided to go out on a limb here. 50/50 chance lets do this. "So, where to man? Also, what's your name? Figure I should know the name of the guy who helped me out." He says, crossing his fingers behind his back.

Taking the man's hand within his was no easy task, considering the fact that it looked like a fork lying on a dinner plate, but eventually Harrison managed to grasp it firmly enough without snapping it like a twig or bowling Kodner over. "Harrison. Harrison Smitt. I'm from out west, farmer boy." He says, grinning as he lets go of Kodner's hand, following close behind him as the Vermillionkin led him through the city.

"If you don't mind me asking what school are you in?" Kodner asks while leading the way towards the college.

"I'm in the nature school." He continued.

Harrison waved his hand in front of Kodner, and midway through it was suddenly coated in a harmless amount of ice. He was rather proud of himself for being able to do that so quickly. It was one of the few things he managed to accurately control as he practiced during his journey here. "School of ice. Fitting for a Polar Bear beastman, no? Really helps too, since even with this coating my hand I can't even feel it." He says, grinning, before lightly knocking his hand into a nearby wall, the ice shattering into shards and quickly falling to the ground to form puddles.

"Neat." Kodner replied. After watching the bears performance he put on his own. The boy put his hand over the basket. And out came a few saplings.

Harrison's eyes widened at the sight. The uses that that sort of power could have if he was back on the farm! Looking at his hand again, he was overcome with a wave of sadness. Why did his power have to be ice? Ice didn't help crops grow...
Sighing to himself, Harrison looks at Kodner again. "So, what year are you in?" He asked, privately hoping this new acquaintance was in his year. He knew the value of having connections between people.

Theu, Arnest, Thal - City walls

The two were rather surprised at the sight of Thal coming up to them with two students in tow. However Theu wasn't as surprised. The man simply looked at the adviser that had brought Thal and his group to the walls and with a simple full handed wave, he dismissed the adviser. The governor was a bit more surprised as students weren't allowed up here during this delicate time.

"What are you dong up here? You must leave now before you start trouble!" He ordered but Theu intervened.

"Calm yourself governor. As you know this is may dear son, the Prince of house Rando and their heir to my position...someday at least. If he has brought these two here, then there must be a good reason. Isn't that right my dear child?" He asks Theu with venomous fangs in his eyes. Thal hesitated, not wanting to harass his father with a potentially frivolous matter but he continued on.

"Father these two wished to speak with you. The first one is named Simon and the other is named Coronaria. I brought them here since I...owed them a favor." He lied. Theu thought about it for a second before addressing the two.

"Is that correct. Was my son in debt to you?" Theu asked.

Grinning, Harrison nods his head. "Yeah. Can't wait to see what the school is like! How are you liking it?" He asks cheerily. "Is it like a normal school? You know, clubs, libraries, teachers and all that? Prefects?" He asks, barraging Kodner as they seem to make their way closer and closer to a rather large series of buildings. Wonder if that's the school?

Looking down at Kodner, Harrison marvelled at the person. 'Do all vermillionkin look and sound like that? Man, this is gonna be a massive headache.' He thinks to himself, observing Kodner.

Coro- city walls

Coro had to do whatever she must if it meant finding her father and so she cast aside her stubborn pride and bowed to lord theu. "It is a honor to meet you lord theu and he simply owed us a favor that is all... Now as to not waste time lets get to the discussion you already know as to why i am here yes?" Coro held a fake polite smile as if it were just a normal conversation however she had her hands behind her back hiding them and her claws out unintentionally showing how she really felt.

Fear flooded through Harrison at Kodner's reaction. "T-that bad huh?" He asks, worry evident in his voice. He had wished that the rumours about the academy had been just like the rumours about the city, unfounded and blown way out of proportion, but the reaction from someone who usually seems to be so calm scared him more than he cared to admit.

"W-what do they do? They don't- They don't actually have us fight monsters right? That's just a rumour, yeah?" He asked Kodner, somewhat desperately as he looks around, trying to find some hint of a giant talon or the roar of a magical beast.

Simon- City Walls

Simon also bowed "Truly your so is not, he might not like to admit it but he's a good man you must be proud of him. Thal did offer to help and we graciously accepted. We had figured that you might have wanted to see us after the message you sent" he gave a curt smile "We do apologize for interrupting so we'll be quick and you two fine gentlemen can continue your business" he gestured at Coro "This is Coronaria and my name is Simon, If you'd please had him a copy of the scroll Coro so he's certain why we're here" Simon said with his normal polite face. Nothing betraying his nervousness and the fear that at the back of his head something is wrong.

Coro- city walls

Coro forces her claws away for the moment and hands theu a copy of the scroll and then returns to Simons side. Coro glances at the govaner wondering if he was apart of this as well.

"Oh no I never said that. I told you to never call it normal. Like we are talking about Stahlheim College. And as far as I know we don't fight beasts. We might study them every now and then," Kodner answers.

"But bad things do happen sometimes. Last field trip for example. It seemed like a war was going on." He said.

Harrison sighs in relief at Kodner's words. "Oh thank the high heavens. Thought I was about to have a godsdamned heart attack." He says, chuckling lightly. "What do they do on these field trips? And what do you mean 'seemed like a war was going on'?" He says, minutely worried but after the scare with the beasts he was pretty sure things weren't as bad as they seemed this time.

Looking around him, he noticed the architecture had changed. Gone were the small houses and shops, with merchants peddling their wares up and down the streets. They had been replaced by some sort of imperial architecture, reaching high into the sky and casting a forboeding feeling upon Harrison as he walked through their shadows. "Also, uh, how much longer?" He asks, thoughroughly creeped out at these giant buildings.

Theu, Arnest - City Walls

Theu looks at the scroll and sees that it was a copy of the scroll he sent previously. He gives an invisible smile before handing it back to Coro. "I do not know why you gave this to me, but I have never seen that in my entire existence." Theu replied.

Simon - City Walls

Simon twitched and reactively reached for his heavy vest until he caught himself. The death mage's eyes darted around the room with his body tense and ready to pounce. Simon relaxed his face though his stance didn't change he gave a polite smile "Well it seems this was all a huge misunderstanding" he gave an awkward laugh "We do apologize deeply for these events and hope that you can forgive us" Simon bowed his head for only a second before raising it again "If there's any way we can make up for wasting your time I'm sure we'd both be happy to oblige"

"Just an encounter with some cultists. Big battle." Kodner replied.

Looking up to see if the were getting close to the college the boy sees 3 of them.

"Almost there." He answered.
