Ancient Forest (1X1)

She smiles softly to him then get curled up in the sleeping bag again. It felt comfy to her and as soon as she laid her head back down, she started to drift off to sleep again.

Not long after she fell asleep, the demons switched shifts again. Once they had finally finished the hut, the demons that weren't on shift started hiding in the trees so that she wouldn't be overwhelmed when she woke up.

She slept for a few more hours. She had curled up tightly in the sleeping bag and was sleeping soundly for those few hours. After a bit though, she began to wake. The nightmare was as it had been before but she managed to wake from it quicker this time.

She blinks a bit as she opens her eyes and looks around a bit to see who was there this time.

It was Blue watching her this time, and he stood up as he saw Sarah was awake. "We finished your shelter, if you want to see it."

She blinks a little more to get the sleep from her eyes. She smiles to him and nods softly. "Will love to." She says and gets out of the sleeping bag and stands up so she could follow him.

He starts leading her into the woods, but they didn't go too far in when they found the hut made out of sturdy branches, tied together with vines, and plastered together with tree sap. A brother came up behind her carrying her sleeping bag across his shoulders, and he laid the sleeping bag on the ground inside the hut.

Red soon enough approached her with a little smile. "I know it may not look like much, but it's the best we could do with what we had. Hopefully it suffices, since you may have to stay out here with us for quite a long time."

Sarah eyes widen as she gazes at the but. "It's beautiful." She says to them as she gazes at it then smiles to the brothers. "You all did a great job with it. Thank you so much for this."

The brothers smile and seem to silently congratulate each other. Red looks back at his younger brothers for a minute before returning his attention to her. "If there's anything else we need to sort out, just let us know."

She shakes her head softly. "No this is perfect. " She smiles again to them then adds. "Eventually I will have to go to the town so I can get a supply of clothes and other things but that can wait another day or two." She says.

Red nodded and dismissed the brothers, so that everyone went off to do their own thing. "We'll give you some time to settle in. I understand this whole thing may take some getting used to." He then started off as well, giving her a little smile on his way out.

"Thank you." She says again then starts to head inside before she stops and looks to Red. " The nightmares...ive had them since I was a kid...they have never made sense to me."

He stops dead in his tracks when she says this, and turns back to face her. "Purple and Orange did both mention you waking up because of nightmares. So it's an ongoing problem for you?"

She nods slightly. "That night in the tent, that's what woke me up." She says to him. She looks at the ground then back to him. "When I wake, I barely remember them, just darkness mostly...." She takes a breath. "Orange said you have dreams..."

He froze again, then nodded. "Yes... lately it feels like my dreams have been spelling out our origin story, but I can't say for sure. It just seems so distinct and peculiar, and it sticks in my mind so well. It almost feels real at times. But I don't really know what any of it means. So that just makes things harder to understand..."

She nods a bit. "What are the dreams about?" She asks curiously then adds. "You dont have to tell me if you don't want to. I'll understand."

"At times, it can be kind of hard to tell what the dreams are meant to be about. But they all seem to have one consistent person in them. I call him the Doll Maker, simply because my first dream involved him making little cloth dolls of me and my brothers. He's been in every single one of my dreams lately, and I'm starting to think it's connected to something."

She nods slightly at his words. A doll maker. "I wonder how he is connected to you and your brothers. When I go to town I would like to look in the library there and see if I can find something. May help."

"I can't control what you do when you go into town, so if you'd like to try looking into it, go right ahead." He smiles a little as she realizes how she wants to help, though he can't guarantee what she'll find. He then took a deep breath and decided it'd only be fair... "Now, I understand you may not want to talk about your nightmares, they're problem a personal thing to you, but in case you want to get it off your chest, I'll be here to listen."

She nods slightly at his words, looking at the ground then before looking back at him. " A lot of times...the parts I remember...im in darkness...cant see anything. " She takes a breath then says." I hear screaming...horrible screaming..." She shivers a little and wraps her arms around herself. "I've had them since I was a child...."

He listens closely, and nods once she finishes. "Alright, you don't have to continue. I can see it disturbs you just to talk about it." Something was brought to his mind at the description, but he didn't plan to bring it up with her in case it scared her. "Just know that I'll be willing to help in case you ever need anything. That much I'm sure we can both be comfortable with."
