Her brother glared at her. "You know nothing of this family and all that it's done. Did my dear mother tell you about the kids she's killed or how my sister wiped out an entire village? These humans behind me are simply a means to an end and you're in my way."

Lisa was having a harder time keeping Serina from moving. The girl kept trying to stand up, trying to get to the door. "I can't let anyone else die...."

It was getting to the point she may have to knock her daughter out but if she did that then she couldn't move her should the group break into the house.

Maelith shook her head, "I know more than you do. It's hard to hide things when you've lived so many lifetimes," She hummed and looked at the other men, "Do you want to die? I'm sure you all have something you want to live for. A wife, a child, a dream even. Go live them. This man can do little more than scream at the injustice of the world that plans on devouring him."

She turned her back to the man, "Shadows can't live for long," And with that she moved back over to Morty and Taelie. Damien took that as a chance to show his true might. As he walked forward and roared loudly at the humans. A few scattered into the woods clearly not liking that the drake before them was displying his power and might as a moment later a large bellow of fire wiped out all plant life to either side of the one he considered his enemy.

Her brother glared up at the dragon that now stood before him. He didn't move though, he was willing to fight. A foolish fight. A hatred that wasn't his own shown in his eyes.

Serina had managed to stand up and get to the door. She almost had it opened before her mother had it blocked again.

"I'm about to lose my son. I have already lost a husband, I will not watch you die as well. You can barely stand and they can handle this." Lisa scolded.

Serina stared at her mother. She didn't know how to stay behind, to stay back. Everyone was out there. She needed to be out there too.

That was when they both heard the sounds of someone in the back cavern. It was a distraction the entire time! Her brother knew the escape routes through the mountain.

Lisa grabbed a gun and gave another one to Serina. As soon as they saw movement, they fired ,knocking down two but there was more.

Maelith made her way past the two other dragon's who were on edge, "Somethings wrong..." Morty said just as they heard gun shots. In a flash of movement. Damien had abandoned his currently enemy to go save his mate. Wise or not, he was simply hard wired for her. His large form appeared between the two ladies and every one else. His large golden eyes glared down at them right before they were met with bought of fire that would have destroyed most of the house had it not been directed into the cave portion. Any one in there was dead unless they were stupid lucky. He tilted his head to glance at Serina and Lisa. He would make up for the lost house but till then he would protect them at all cost.

Serina looked up as Damien made it through the house, stopping the group that had tried to sneak up behind them.

She let her body lean against the wall at her back and nods to him. Lisa was at her side and nods to Damien as well. The screams of those dying in the cave scared off all who remained outside.

Serina was exhausted but she knew the fight with her brother wasn't over. He would return.

Damien leaned down so the two could climb onto his back before he exited the building and took to the skies. For now he needed to get the pair safe. He was soon joined by the other three. Maelith was deadly quiet as she seemed deep in thought. The three would fly for some time before they teleported to another location and flew some more. They did this a total of five times before the arrived a mountain range that edged a desert. Landing they quickly found a place to make sure they hadn't been followed before Damien lead them to another cave system.

Lisa helped to keep Serina on Damien's back as he flew. The last of her energy was gone and staying awake was becoming hard. She needed to heal. Some of her wounds had reopened in the process of moving.

Once he landed and they were safe, Lisa gently got down with Serina. She looks to Damien as she held her daughter then looked to Maelith as she realized the woman had been silent the entire time.

The large red dragon motioned into the cave with his snout. He needed to make sure they were safe for now. Maelith lead the way into the rather poorly kept dwelling. She let out a whistle only for something to rustle through a few paper that laid on the floor before a fae appeared, "Nay, I'm not a dog Maelith I am a fae hound!"

"I don't have time for this," She stated sharply as the green haired boy stepped back quickly it was only then that one would notice he had flopped green ears and a long tail, "Get your mistress I have need of her healing skills."

The hound quickly vanished again returning some time later with a woman with a head of twisted blue and green hair, "Well now. I thought it was odd to have felt you coming this way," Her enchanting orange eyes glanced to Serina, "This way. Orion carry the girl." With she turned on her heels stepped forward only to vanish.

"Its a barrier just walk forward as if you were walking across flat ground," Maelith explained as Orion the green fae hound held his arms out for Serina. Once he had her they would vanish into the barrier. Maelith would wait for Lisa to go first.

Lisa hesitated a little before letting her daughter go to the dog creature. She looked to Maelith and nods at those words. A barrier.

She follows carefully, surprised by what she saw on the other side.

Serina stirred a little, grimacing slightly before becoming still again. Muttering Damien's name.

"That bone head," The canine huffed, "He'll be back he is just paranoid at times."

Maelith followed carefully behind them all. Inside the barrier was unlike any other place. They were in Fairy. The land around them had a mind of its own. Waterfalls fell from sightless sources while trees became homes. Everything was amazing and alive.

Orion's mistress, Cat, was preparing a bed and potions to aid in healing the dragon girl.

Lisa's eyes widen at the sight of everything. It was so beautiful to her. She had never seen anything like it before. When she heard Serina say Damien's name, she knew her daughter wanted the male with her but knew that Damien was being cautious.

She gave the dog creature a look for his words about Damien though. Then she looks to Maelith. "You've been very quiet my dear. What are you thinking about?"

Maelith glanced at Lisa, "To be honest I'm thinking about how to get my magic back," She sighed, "Your son has it buried in his soul," The female wasn't pleased about this, "It will keep him from being able to feel as he should about all of you."

Cat glanced at the dog as he sat Serina on the bed the moved away. Serina was carefully stripped of her clothing before being covered with a thin white sheet. The fae woman was skillful as she poured warmed water over the wounds to flush out the soil that had been used to keep the dragon from bleeding to death, "Connie called me and told me to news about Damie," She began trying to start a little converstation to keep things light as she knew Maelith and her would speak later about the lost magic, "He has found a good mate if she has managed to stay alive so far."

The wounds would given a salve that was different from the kind the dragons tended to use. Once applied the wounds started to heal before their eyes. She cleaned each wound then applied the salve, "Seri and Damie," She chuckled, "They will make some very beautiful children."

Maelith glared at the woman, "Not right now we need to deal with the human world."

The fae shrugged, "They would be stronger if they mated already," She pointed this out as if it was common knowledge.

Lisa blinks slightly at Maelith's words. "How could that be possible?" Her magic buried in her son? That couldn't be something he's had all this time? She was becoming that worried mother again.

At least one of her concerns was being eased as she watched the process of her daughter being healed. The female named Cat had done amazing work. That impressed her greatly.

After a few more long minutes, Serina started to wake. Stirring a little before blinking her eyes open, they shined like the stars before she blinked again and they returned to their normal color.

Cat hummed as she stared down at the dragon girl on her bed, "What beautiful thing you are when you aren't tattered and bleeding every where," She winked playfully before meandering over to a table that moved over closer by walking like a four legged animal. Patting the table the fae woman set about making tea. The pot on the table poured out steaming hot water into the five cups there. She dropped tea balls into each cup then mixed in a little honey. The table followed her as she walked over to the others. After she had handed the tea cups out the table shuffled off.

Damien entered sometime later, "Taelie and Morty have gone off to be alone," he said. When he saw Serina was awake. He was over in a flash of movement enveloping her into his arms. He hugged her tightly, "I..." he pulled back and just stared at her. His eyes showed how worried he had been.

Serina blinks up at the female staring back at her and the words said. Not bleeding anymore? She sits up carefully as the female went to making tea. Looking down at herself, she was amazed to see that no wounds remained. It was amazing.

Lisa accepted the cup of tea, grateful for it and sipped quietly. Her eyes on her daughter for a moment then to Damien as he entered the room.

Serina managed to move the cup of tea out of the way in time before he caused her to spill it. She hugs him in return, only then realizing that she was indeed naked beneath the sheet.

His worried look though distracted her and she touched his cheek gently. "I'm okay. I'm sorry I worried you so much." She kisses him softly before resting her head on his chest, glad that he was there now.

The male was over joyed only to turn red as he noticed she wasn't wearing any thing. His face turned as red as hi hair as he pulled his leather coat off and drapped it around her. He kissed her on her forehead, "I think I need to got get some air again," He murmured as he pulled away and walked quickly out of the place.

Maelith was grinning again at the display, "Boy oh boy, Serina, you sure know how to make that boy gush."

Cat was unsure if she should be amused or not as she strugged her shoulders, "Your clothes were ruined so I will give you some of mine," She turned to go fetch some."

Serina pouted as he left then smiled over to Maelith, a look of playfulness in her eyes. "I know...." though he wasn't the only one blushing as she was too.

Her mother was shaking her head and looks at her daughter."could you at least wait until I'm out of the room. " She scolds.

Serina smirks a bit and shrugs then smiles to Cat about her offer for clothes. "Thank you."

Cat returned a few moments later with a long tunic that seemed to have a slight shine to it. It had long sleeves and was decorated with stitching of gold around the neck and around the eyelets of the laces that allowed for the neck to be drawn tighter. The pants were black as were the boots and socks, "Theses should do you better than me."

Maelith gawked at the shirt, "You're given her spider silk? You never gave me spider silk."

The female tilted her head, "You never mated."

Serina gazes at the clothes in amazement. They were beautiful. Gently she accepted them from Cat. "Thank you."

She blinks at the words exchanged between Maelith and Cat. It made her wonder if the female had someone in all those past lives. Pushing the thoughts away, she got dressed.

Maelith had always been single. In every single life. Her death always came from the one she would have loved. In this life it was Serina's brother. It was a complex story from simple beginnings. His hate was her own doing. Not anything any one else did. The two chatted for a moment more before Maelith moved over to a spring to sit for a bit.

Damien wasn't sure how much more he could take before he simply took Serina without much care. He was tortured at times but loved it.
