Changes

Serina arches a brow and when she saw the look on her mother's face she knew. "My brother. " She eyes her mother carefully. "What are you up to?"

Lisa shakes her head. "Just putting a plan together."

Maelith huffed slightly as she glanced at the couple, "Look at it this way. We can get away with not killing him if we can simply trap him and let me do the rest."

Damien arched a brow this time and glanced at Serina. Would such a thing be easy?

Serina nods a little. "It will have to be one hell of a distraction and one heck of a good trap. Him and I trained together. So if anyone can predict him I can but we can't take any risks."

Lisa sadly nodded her agreement. "She is right."

Damien perked up then, "Cat could trap him."

Maelith huffed, "Cat is like using a the nuke in a gun fight."

"She's still a wonderful thing to have in your back pocket," He motioned to the place around them, "How many people can actually create invisable worlds?"

He had Maelith at that, "Fine... I'll go find her."

Serina nods a little and then she looks to Damien and her mother. "We can't let emotion get in the way of this....if there is a chance he can get away. We have to stop him....I know he is my brother but if it must be done, then we can not hesitate at all."

Lisa nods quietly, not liking this at all but she knew it was the only way.

Damien hugged the two women to him, "I'm sorry it has come to this."

Maelith returned sometime later with Cat following lazily behind her, "She will help but she wants to name your first kid."

Serina held on to her mate. This was going to be the hardest thing to do. Destroy her own brother but it had to be done to save so many more.

When Maelith returns with the request and Cat. She arches a brow at it and looks to Damien. "I think that would be alright."

Maelith held up her hand, "Don't be so quick to say that. You're new to this world while I've been in it for lifetimes. By allowing her to name your child the child becomes a changeling. Changelings aren't dragon nor human their like your mother but more like Cat here. That means they are powerful and need lots of guidence."

Damien frowned slightly then shrugged, "I wouldn't have a problem with that if Serina had no issue as well."

She looks around at the group then nods as well. "No problem here. A child that has this group to help with guidance...one is so lucky. " She smiles warmly and arm still wrapped around Damien.

Lisa was quiet but knew things would get started soon. Drawing her son out would be easier than they would like.

Darien kept Serina's hand in his own while they set about laying the trap. Cat erected a barrier and made it a one way one at that. It lead to a small island that was surrounded by water. Nothing grew on the sandbar that was no bigger than an eight by eight floor. Once the prey was within chains designed to hold the strongest changelings would capture him and keep him in place while Maelith extracted her magic from his soul. The fae felt the need to inform her several times that she was an idiot for doing that.

Serina was quiet most of the time except to apply her advise on some things but for the most part the plan was coming together. It would now be the chance to draw him out. That would be easy but it was keeping him busy enough to get put into the barrier that concerned her. Her brother and her trained together and fought together but she knew what he would do, could read his movements before he even thought it. It was the only reason she could beat him. She just hoped she still could.

Damien leaned down to whisper in Serina's ear, "I want you to take complete care. Also. That tunic Cat gave you is stronger than our scales. Stay in human form for now."

Serina nuzzled closer to her mate and nods softly at his words. "I shall." She looks to everyone else. "Let's get this plan in motion. Waiting any longer may only prolong this. " She says.

With a nod they spread out aiming to fight the Serina's brother backwards into the barrier. Damien shifted and took to the skies so he could keep and eye on things. Maelith was already in the barrier. Cat stood on the other side of the barrier to keep someone who shouldn't be in the barrier out.

They didn't have long to wait for her brother to appear. It was if he was drawn to that location.

She watched him carefully , noting each movement he made as he stepped forward from the shadows. It was his eyes that told her he was here for blood only.

He didn't talk though, went straight for the fight as he saw her. She waited for him. Once in reach she ducked back, missing his punch then spinning and taking his legs out. "Come now brother. You are usually faster than that."

He growled at her before lunging again. It was the flash of metal that told her he had drawn a weapon. A knife, just like the one used by the man in the store. They continued to go out it. She had to wear him out before tricking him towards the barrier but the more they fought it seemed, the angrier he became.

Maelith knew as soon as he was closer the feel of the rage that she felt inside told her the magic was doing the worst to his mind. She needed to work quickly as soon as he was inside the barrier. She just had to wait on Serina to get him to enter.

The shirt that Cat had given her helped a great deal in keeping the blade from cutting her but her brother had found what exposed skin that he could and blood soon covered her right arm, the poison starting to take effect.

He smirked at her. "No blade little sister? Why don't you shift and eat me?" He taunted.

She gazed at him and arches a brow. "I use my blades on worthy enemies and as for eating you, you wouldn't taste good."

It was what she needed, the last charge. His anger causing him to run at her. Taking hold of his arms, she ignored the pain of the blade cutting deep and she rolled to her back and using her legs, flung him over her body and through the barrier.

The instant the male was through the barrier chains erupted from the soil and ensnared him perfectly. Maelith stood before him now. Her eyes had turned a silver colore as her right hand was coated in silver energy, "I'm sorry," Was all she whispered as she reached into his chest and withdrew the magic she had left there so long ago. The magic slowly melted into her soul as she leaned forward and pressed her forehead to his. It was done. The barrier slowly cracked then shattered like thousands of tiny slivers of glass that vanished before reaching the ground.

Serina sat up from where she laid on the ground and looked towards the barrier. She tenses when it shatter and disappeared.

Trying to stand was difficult as she felt the poison. A tired sigh left her mouth. She was getting tired of being poisoned all the time. Did no one fight honorably anymore? She found herself thinking faintly. Strange thing to be thinking about.

Damien was over to Serina in a matter of moments after their enemy had been thrown in the barrier. As it shattered he stared at Maelith who stood over the now kneeling male. the sight they made was a sad one. Damien turned and hugged Serina to him before looking over her injury, "We will get you to my mother's home," He promised her before teleporting them to the entrance of a large long house with a beautiful red headed woman standing outside of it in a long green skirt with a green tank top.

"Damien," She said softly as she glanced over the pair then waved them into the house. A large burly man stood near the fire a pipe in his mouth while his rich green eyes trailed over the trio. He was clearly Damien's father and the woman with golden eyes his mother, "Sit here while I get the medic kit," Connie stated before vanishing into another room. She returned a short time later and held the stuff out to Damien to handle the wounds.

Damien did so quickly, "Ma, Dad, this is Serina my wife. Serina, my ma, Connie and my father, Neil."
