Changes

Serina makes a face as she heard the annoyance in Damien's face then sighs and kisses him softly. "No, not usually but he's not used to me being with a male and well I think it's clear that he doesn't remember what happened...." She looks back at her brother who was giving her a dark look.

"Remember what? Start explaining little sis." He says, crossing his arms over his chest. He glanced at the female that had rolled over and then rolled back away from them. He blinks a bit, then rubs his throbbing head. "What in the world?" He questions then shakes his head.

Lisa sighs softly and sits beside her son. "Let me son. It will be quicker and easier if I show you." Gently she reaches out and touches her son's head. Soon the events of the past few days are shown to her son in his mind, letting him see all that had happened and all he had done.

His eyes widen in shock and he stared at his mother and then to Serina, shaking his head. It was the realization in his eyes that he had tried to kill his own blood and had been a help to the one who had killed their father. He gets up swiftly and walks away.

Lisa remained seated and shook her head at Serina when she tried to stand and go after her brother. "No, he needs time."

Damien laid back on the ground, "She's right, Serina. any one would need time to handle these last few days in one blow," he rubbed her back, "Just relax with me for now. I don't think anything bad will come of this."

Maelith was a bit too embarrassed to listen as she got up and headed off for a walk. She needed it. Her old soul needed to not thing for the moment.

Serina nods a little as she moves back to Damien and curled up with him.

Her brother was walking through the nearby trees, each thing his mother showed him replaying in his mind. He had tried to kill his own sister, not once but twice. And there father...he shakes his head, his hands clenching at his sides.

Maelith yawned as she found herself staring up at a lazy moon that hung in the sky. The night air was peaceful and quiet. The soft chirping of crickets echoed around her, "The day's end is the beginning of another."

Her brother stops in his tracks as he hears movement not far from him. He blinks a bit and looks at the female. It was hard not to stare at her. He couldn't help himself. "I'm sorry." He said. He couldn't be sure what he was apologizing for but he felt as if he owed her an apology just as badly as he did his own family who he tried to kill.

Serina nuzzles Damien gently and smiles softly.

Lisa rolls her eyes at the two. "Get a room."

Damien glared slightly at the older woman, "We would but we have two people out wondering in the night and to leave you here alone wouldn't be very noble of us," He stuck his tongue out to show he was playing with her as he petted Serina's hair, "I hope they don't kill each other."

Maelith glanced around as she felt gaze on her. Her eyes landed on the male across from her, "Sorry? Whatever for you didn't do this because you wanted to. What are you called?" She figured rather than calling him Hey you! she better learn what to call him.

"Gavin is what most who truly know me call me. " He said then shakes his head, running a hand through his arm. "I'm sorry for all of it....and for something I did to you...I don't remember it but something..." He shakes his head a bit.

Lisa rolled her eyes at him but smiles.

She shook her head, "It's in the past where is should stay. Well Gavin. I am Maelith," She smiled, "It's a pleasure to meet you!"

Galvin nodded to her. "You as well." He looked to the sky through the tree branches before looking back at Maelith. "I suppose I owe you thanks as well for the more recent events." He shakes his head and looks back at the sky. He wasn't going to forgive himself for this, despite the fact he understood it wasn't his fault but there was part of him that would never except that as a reason, only and excuse.

Maelith nodded, "No thanks needed," She smiled at him, "I should have set things straight in the first place or none of this would have ever happened to begin with," Her gaze met his for a moment before she blinked at him, "What?"

He shakes his head. "I'm not sure to be honest with you. I feel like I've missed a lot and some how I'm connected to you." He shakes his head again.

Serina glances to the woods. It was her turn to be the worried sibling. "You sure they are okay?"

Maelith gave a frown to the male, "You are connected to me but the connection is weak and close to snapping. When it does it will lead to you forgetting I exist," She gave a shrug, "Being forgotten isn't all that horrible I think."

Gavin nods a little at those words but still he was uncertain of the idea of forgetting about this female. "And what if I don't wish to forget you?" He asks as he steps closer to her.

She blinked up at him for a moment, "Forgetting me would be easier. I'm sure a wonderful life awaits you just come and take it."

He shakes his head. "I doubt that very much. I live the life of blood and death. There is no wonder to it. Yet when I look at you...I see something more than that life. Something brighter than that." He said softly, he reached out and cupped her cheek gently.

Serina nudges Damien gently, playfully.

Lisa had gotten up and was walking around a little, wondering what she would do with herself. It was hard to decide such a thing. Her life was different now but she wondered what could she possibly do now with the rest of it? Her children were well it seemed but it was uncertain if her son would need her more than before. She knew her daughter would be taken care of clearly but she was still a mother.

Damien blinked at Serina then licked her cheek, "Don't make me eat you," He purred into her ear.

Maelith stared up at the male wide eyed, "A brightness? With me?" She was surprised quite a bit. What was he seeing in her?

Serina smirks at him. "You would enjoy that." She taunts.

Gavin pulls his hand back as he looks to her. "A light to the shadows." He says. He steps back from her. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable." He said.

She was just surprised was all. She blushed a bit more then rubbed the back of her neck.

Damien chuckled softly, "I likely would," He agreed

Serina smirks at him again then nuzzles close again before relaxing.

Lisa had sat down by a tree a few paces away.

Gavin watches Maelith a little then smiles. He felt so drawn to her. He could explain it.

Sighing after a moment he nods in the direction of the others. "Should we head back?"

Damien kissed Serina's forehead then stared up at the sky for sometime. The quiet peace of the night was the sort that left one feeling blessed and humbled.

Maelith nodded slightly, "We should they might grow worried if we don't."
