Changes

Lisa arches a brow again as she watches Damien and his behavior. A small smile touched her lips. Then she rolls her eyes as she looks to Maelith. "The harder he tries to avoid it the harder it's going to be..."

Serina finished with her shower and dried off. They needed to start thinking of the next step. If there was a killer dragon out there didn't they need to be hunting it?

She wasn't sure. She stops as she looks at herself in the mirror. Right above her heart was the mark. She was amazed by it. Gently she touches it then pulls her thoughts together and gets dressed.

Once dressed she gets out of the bathroom and looks around then finds Maelith and her mom. It was the look on their faces that made her pause a little.

"What?"

Maelith grinned vixenly at Serina as she came out, "You should show us your mark," She made it up so she could hide what the pair were talking about originally.

Damien in the mean time was trying his damnest to calm his heated blood. He had gone as far as stripping down to nothing and diving into one of the cold streams near the house.

Serina eyes the two woman carefully a moment. Knowing something was going on but she didn't push the issue. She moves her shirt out of the way so she could reveal the mark that now covered her heart.

She smiles a bit. "I like it." She says to them, and she did.

Maelith looked it over carefully. Then nodded, "It's quaint," She told her, "Be sure to keep it protected."

Damien's swim did him little good as he got out dressed then headed back to the house. He would just have to figure out if Serina felt anything.

She nods softly at Maelith's words. "Of course." She says and puts her shirt back over the mark. She smiles to her mother and Maelith.

Lisa smiles softly. "You're father would be proud hunny. " She said then nods to the kitchen before she got teary eyed. "Get something to eat dear."

Reaching over Maelith pats Lisa's hand, "It looks like his doesn't it?" She was curious about this. It wasn't often you met the direct offspring who changed after the death of a parent.

Damien came back in. His hair was still dripping wet as he made his way over to Serina it was almost as if he has sensed her more than seeing. In a quick movement he twisted her around and kissed her on the lips ignoring the way his heart raced and the knowledge that her mother was right there.

Lisa nods softly, "Yes almost exactly like his." She smiles gently.

Serina was getting some food ready when Damien grabbed her suddenly. She was in shock for a moment as he kissed her. As soon as the shock wore off though, she was kissing him back. Her body relaxing into his as if she was meant to be there.

Lisa eyes widen as she stared at his daughter and at Damien. She was a bit speechless and looks to Maelith.

Damien swore he would only kiss her then leave. Hell he expected she would turn around a kick his as not lean into it and return it. Heavens and Hells she felt right in his grasp. Reluctantly he pulled away to catch his breath. With how that had felt he knew he wouldn't be just doing as he mother told him. No. He was sure he had found that which was rare and pure. A soul mate.

Maelith only smiled as she glanced to Lisa, "You can't fight what ties you to this plain," She states as she stands, "You should contact his mother. I will get you her number," The female walked over to the backpacks and fished around for the phone that was there.

Serina had to catch her breath as well. She was blushing a bit now. Licking her lips a little, she could still taste him there. What in the world was that? She had never experienced such a thing in all her life. She wanted more of it, more of Damien but not just a physical level but on all levels, to know him deeper.

Lisa couldn't help but smile at the look in her daughter's eyes. It was easy to see that her daughter was experiencing something that she hadn't ever before.

Maelith a warning to the pair, "Don't jump things just yet. We need to do some arranging," This seemed to make Damien let out a sigh of disapointment as he rested his head on Serina's shoulder.

"Can you hold off for a moment? I should speak with Serina first..." The male lifted his head slightly as he looked at the other two women clearly asking them to let him explain things to Serina first. After all it would be hard to state why he was drawn to her while he was promised to another. After all dragon's weren't like humans.

Humming Maelith nodded as she understood the reasoning, "You to should."

Serina was feeling a little confused but was glad when Damien said he wanted to explain things. She really wanted to know what was going on and why she felt so strongly towards him now.

Lisa smiles softly to her daughter. She did like the male and thought him a good man for her daughter bit as any mother, she was cautious as well.

Damien took her hand and lead her over to the fire where they could be comfortable and speak quietly. He didn't trust himself not to behave alone at this point, "First. There's a lot that can be explained with simply knowing how dragon society works," The male swallowed slightly, "When boys are born we are normally promised to another family if they are sure they are going to hatch a girl. Such happened in my case. My mother is the only one who can call it off. I'm sure she will when she learns about us."

He was staring into her eyes trying to get her to look inside of him to see the truth as much as he felt it, "I do believe that we are soulmates," He says softly, "I've been around a lot of women none of them make me feel like this. Please be mine," His cheeks were down right red at this point. But those golden orbs of his were focused and steady.

Serina listened to his words and saw in his eyes that it was the truth. His blushing made him look cute to her. She gently reached up and touched his cheek.

"I have never dated, never even thought of relationships. Ask my mom." She smiles a little. "But I feel so drawn to you, on so many levels that I can't explain." She smiles again. "I will love to be yours."

Lisa was grinning as she watched the two. Then looks to Maelith. "Shall we make that call?"

Maelith was beyond amused at this point as she flipped the phone open hit the power button and waited moment. As soon as it was on she hit the send button twice and put it to her ear. The voice that greeted her wasn't amused. It wasn't female and it was annoyed. Conney's hubby as she called him more often than not had answered the phone, "What?" he barked.

"Neil," She greeted softly, "I need to talk to Conney."

He huffed as the sound of sheets being pushed aside then the sound of him stomping into another room. He called for his wife who answered joyfully as always then greeted Maelith, "Maelie! How pleasant to hear from you, dear girl! All's well, no?"

Conney was an odd sort. She could be cheerful or deadly depending on how you spoke to her, "Conney love," Maelith greeted, "I have some news for you concerning your son. Now you should sit for a moment as this might be a surprise for you." They exchanged a few more back and forthes before a ralley of laughter came from the other side.

"By Gods I was hoping I wouldn't have to marry him off to that lazy tussy!" Conney couldn't have been happier. As it turned out the female he had been promised to had a lazy bone which his mother couldn't stand. It made her blood boil.

After sometime more of chatting they hung up. She threw the phone at Damien, "You should call your mother more!" She yelled at him.

The dragon simply huffed at her as he caught the phone then pulled Serina into another kiss. He felt good and alive in away that he hadn't ever.

Lisa was smiling still as she watched everything unfold. Her husband would have loved to have seen this but would have been a protective father of course.

Serina smiled happily and returned his kiss. A blush covering her cheeks again.

Taelie and Morty entered sometime later. The large male clearly not liking being inside of a building. It bothered him slightly, "Cael," the dragon called out to Maelith softly, "We have word of where they are," He stated before leading his bride who glanced over the room with a skilled green gaze and smiled, "Congradulations," She told the young couple then bowed as she followed her husband.

Maelith huffed, "Not yet... I was hoping it would take longer..." She glanced at the female next to her, "We shall return. Or I will at least return them if things get too far out of hand."

Damien stood understanding clearly that the enemy was about to be seen for who they were. He pulled Serina up with him as he turned to walk out after Maelith and the other two.

Serina nods a little at the news and moves to her feet with Damien's help. Her aunt. She was going to have to face her aunt. If that was really who was doing all this.

She smiles to her mother and gives her a hug as she passes. "We will be careful. I love you." She says then head out of the cavern with Damien. Her eyes flicker a little as she becomes focused on the idea of what they were about to face.

Maelith watched as every one but her changed into a dragon. Their forms were mighty and scary. It left her all too aware she was human. Their enemy was like them it horrified her while making her proud to be who she was. If she had been any one else she would have never known about this wonderful world that laid hidden in the mountains and wilds.

Damien took off after Taelie and Morty. He glanced back down at Serina. Maelith was mounted on Taelie again as if it was simply natural. Perhaps it was.

Their enemy was busy destroying the outskirts of the very city Maelith and Serina lived in. Her large white form was quick and deadly as she threw humans away from her with ease before burning up everything with vibrant orange flames.

Serina flew quietly with everyone. Her mind was focused on what they were about to face. Her aunt. Her own family. She knew how to fight and kill in her human for, this dragon one was new.

It was the sight of the female dragon though and the destruction around that angered her. A rumbling growl left her as her scales seem to glisten to match the stars.

Serina was the youngest, she knew that but that was her aunt down there. She knew that deep in her bones and her bloodlust for that dragon below was undeniable. She snaps her jaws as if she could taste the blood already.

Maelith moved smoothly with grace one might have if they weren't human as she slipped from Taelie's neck to free fall down to the earth below. As she fell her form began to morph into that of a man with long silvery locks and a clearly elven face. His lips moved as if whispering a spell that allowed him to survive the 20 foot fall by having vines and other forms of plant life catch him, "That could have gone smoother," He muttered as he was slowly set the last three feet to the ground.

The white dragoness didn't seem to like the sudden burst of flora and hissed at the male, "Nice meeting you too," He began as Taelie and Morty landed behind him, "Perhaps you should quit while you are ahead. Morty boy doesn't like others doing his job for him you see."

Damien landed gently on the ground to the white dragon's left. His golden gaze was fixated. But he waited trying to see what would happen.

The male Maelith glanced to Serina, "She's yours for now."
