Changes

Before she could say anything to him about his plan, they were already there. It wasn't exactly how she pictured meeting his parents, her covered in blood and bruises from the fight m, her hair all over the place. She was a mess.

Then again she didn't really care how she looked either. The poison hurt and was faster acting than the last one. Cheating brother. He never cheated. It annoyed her but then again he wasn't exactly himself.

Once inside and sat down so he could tend to her wounds ,she was able to see his mother better and saw his father for the first time. She could see the resemblance for sure. She manages a nod to them, smiling softly. She wanted to be polite and respectful but the poison was making her want to puke.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both."

The older male shrugged, "Lass, there is much pleasure in meeting you as well but it is best you be yourself least you forget to let him know of any other injuries," Neil was an old fighter. He used to enjoy it but these days he just wanted to stay with his family and see to their happiness.

Connie moved to make some food and tea, "Ginger and honey tea with ginger crackers fine for a quick snack?" She asked softly as she brought the items over and set them close to them on a table.

Damien reached for a cracker and munched on it while he worked on Serina. He had her patched up in no time.

Serina smiles a bit at the old male. He reminded her so much of her father. She nods at his words and understood them. She looks to Damien, "He used a poisoned blade ,like the poison before but faster acting.."

The offer of crackers and tea sounded wonderful even to her unhappy body. She felt all torn up again. When the crackers were in reach she did get one and nibble on it, wanting her stomach to settle. She thanked his mother for them and remained still after so Damien could finish his work without her moving about.

Damien had flushed the wound but was sure he hadn't gotten everything hopefully the trace amounts wouldn't be deadly to the female. He glanced at his father and mother who were chatting for a moment quietly in another language. As they caught his gaze Connie smiled, "There's a room set up for ya'll in the back. Let me know if ya'll need anything."

Serina smiled to Damien and nods to him. "I'll be alright." She wanted to reassure him.

When his mother and father were talking she was curious but didn't listen in on it. When his mother said there was a room for them in the back, the idea of rest was on her mind but she wanted to know if the others were okay. She nods a little to his mother and father and thanked them.

Damien kissed her gently before he pulled away, "We should go check on the others I suppose," He murmured as he pulled her tight to himself. He didn't want to thin about her being injured any more. He didn't want to be worried about the world he lived in. He simply wanted to be alone with her making a new life.

She held on to him, nuzzling gently to him. She could feel his want for solitude as much as she wanted it. In only the few days they have known each other ,she felt so connected in ways that could never be put in words then again she supposed that is what being a soul mate meant. She would never regret any of this.

She smiles softly to him. "We will make sure they are safe then you and I can disappear for a while. A honeymoon of sorts." She knew it to be a human term but it seemed the most fitting way to describe it.

The male grinned, "I think that sounds great," He told her before they vanished from the house to appear near her brother who ways laying on his back in the sand. He was breathing with Mealith sitting next to him with her head in hands. It was hard to tell how Mealith was doing at this point. Cat stood off to the side staring up at the ever growing night sky.

Lisa had managed to make her way over as well but stood a little away, uncertain. Worry and concern covered her features in thick lines.

Serina would have to comfort her but first she needed to know that all was well before going to the woman with any answers.

She kisses Damien softly before moving over to Maelith and her brother. Gently she touches the woman's shoulder. "Maelith..?" She says softly to the woman.

The woman looks up at Serina with a surprised expression. Her eyes were now a rich mix of brown an green, "Hey... He's just sleeping for now. I don't know how he will be once he wakes up," She smiled softly, "I'm almost half certain he will believe it was all a horrible nightmare."

Damien wondered over and hugged Lisa to him and patted her head. While Cat continued being the fae she was and decided it was time for tea. Like magic a table appeared along with food and tea already poured.

Lisa accepted the hug and let her self relax a little. "Is he okay? Is she okay? What's going on?" She was full of questions.

Serina smiles gently to her. "When he wakes we will take it a step at a time." She smiles a bit. There was relief in her for those words because there was hope. She hugged Maelith tightly and nods to the woman. "You should rest now." The poison was still taking its toll on her but her body was healing a lot of it. It would take time and for once she didn't mind.

Maelith accepted the hug as she placed a hand on the bare skin of Serina's. Energy pulsed from her to the other healing what she could for the moment. Leaning back she stared up stars, "The heavens are alive with fire even at the darkest of night."

Damien smiled softly, "They will be fine," He told her softly having heard the converstation between the other two women.

Lisa felt a rush of relief at those words and cried quietly. She wouldn't be losing her children.

Serina felt the effect of her healing almost instantly and smiles a bit. Should have known her friend would do such. She nods at her words about the stars. " They are beautiful. " She murmurs softly

Maelith nodded, "They used to shine so brightly but mankind has forgotten them so they dim and waste away." She sighed, "We should all rest. There isn't much more to do but wait."

Damien nodded in agreement. Cat sipped her tea.

Serina nods softly and smiles to her mother who returned the smile.

"Yes rest does sound like a wonderful idea " She says in agreement.

Maelith's words about the stars though stuck in her mind. It would be good for humans to see the stars more and to imagine and dream again but how is that possible when so many are selfish and corrupted.

Maelith stretched out and starred up at the sky she was comfortable sleeping right there under the stars. Cat stood and waves good by before vanishing her table going with her. Damien moved over to Serina and held her close to him nuzzling her here and there.

Serina relaxed in Damien's arms, closing her eyes. She takes in a deep breath , drawing his scent in to her. She relaxes again, sighing softly.

Lisa moved to them and sat down by her son. Watching over the group as they rested.

Maelith's gaze stayed locked on the stars above but before she knew it she was drifting off into sleep. A sleep so deep it was a wonder why she fought it.

Damien wrapped himself around his mate as he drifted off to sleep. He would do anything for her.

It was several hours later before her brother began to stir. His head was pounding as if he had just lost the worst boxing fight in the world and his head had been used as the punching bag. He groans a little and reaches up with his hands to grip his head. Moving carefully he starts to sit up and opens his eyes to look around. It took him a moment to take in his surroundings. As soon as he saw his mother, he looked to her. The expression on her face is what was confusing him and then he saw Serina and a male wrapped around her. That instantly brought up every protective brother instinct in him.

As if sensing the look Serina began to wake, she blinks a bit then looks to her brother who was sitting up now. Moving gently she sits up as well. "You are awake..." She smiles softly.

He stared at her then his mother then Serina again. "What the hell is going on?"

Damien had been sleeping. Having the neatest fucking dream in the world only to be waken by Serina moving then speaking. Yawning he rolled onto his back then sat up at the question being asked by the male they had just finished saving no more than a few hours ago. The golden eyed male wasn't pleased in the least, "What they hell do you think is going on?"

He sniffed out of habit as he noticed he couldn't firgure out what the hell had the other upset. Leaned towards Serina he half whispered, "Is he always this bitchy when waking up?"

Maelith having been wake up by the sound of voices rolled over to face them and glared, "Care to..." She paused blushed then rolled right back over to mind her own business. She hadn't expected them to be having a family discussion.
