Just as he was thinking that he could hear Cami and Adanya now not far off "I just brought him food and water Adanya. Let him rest. You can come back with me later" Cami was saying.

"When will he be let put of the cage?" Adanya demanded

"Soon, don't worry, I won't let my brother keep him in there" Cami said, voice still calm

"Fine...but I'll be watching" Adanya said, trusting Cami a bit more than the others.

Star was right where Vlad had left hi., watching everything with that childlike wide eyed wonder "you are true magic man" he praised as Vlad came back
 
Out? Out of the cage? Why would they take him out? There was only one reason to take him out. He curled up tighter, shivering now as he tried not to remember or consider what was to come.

Vlad grinned and crouched briefly to give him a one-armed hug. "Thank you, little one. That is kind of you to say. We will be finished soon, then we can go."

The twins finally noticed Vlad speaking to another small being and slowly started inching their way over. Amazing since the clowns were currently doing their bit, and they quite enjoyed the clowns. Their eyes were on Starnacht.
 
Starnacht grinned up at him, his long tail swished, like the little spots like stars decorating his body, the tip of his sharp tail was white and shiny too, he didn't notice the twins "Do this every day?" he asked, glancing back over at the ring as the next act began
 
"Not every day, but many days, yes," Vlad told him. "Then we do this for audiences. For lots of people to see and enjoy and find delight in. Outside the tent will be games and shows and other things for them to enjoy."

The twins stepped closer, watching the swishing tail with delight. So bright and shiny!
 
Starnacht smiled but there was some hesitation there "Many... human come watch? The not magic ones?" that very idea seemed to scare him a little, likely not had a good experience with humans in the past
 
"Yes, lots of humans come, but they come expecting to see things like this," Vlad explained. "They think this is all a trick, an illussion, really good makeup. They pretend it's real while believing it is fake. This time, you will not be aroud. You will wait in the wagon until I am done waiting, and sometimes there will be work for you to do, but I will make certain you are always safe."
 
Starnacht nodded a little "I trust you keep safe" he said and smiled again, with less hesitation this time. His long tail stopped swaying and lay flat on the ground.

Spectra wondered over "Vlad" she smiled "You have another little friend?" she noted
 
Vlad turned to smile at Spectra while Negru tried to reach over and nibble on her skirt. It looked tasty! "Yes. Spectra, this is Starnacht. Starnacht, this is Spectra, she is my friend. And those two lurking behind you are Tim and Tam. I take care of them, as well."
 
Spectra smiled "Well, a pleasure to meet you little Star, you're in good hands with Vlad here" she told him, Starnacht hugged Vlads arm again, glancing over his shoulder to see the twins, they seemed nice, he smiled a little but he didn't speak, a bit nervous

"You have a knack for picking up little ones Vlad" she noted "have you talked to Felix about him?"
 
Vlad nodded. "Yes, he said it was fine, just to make certain he keeps out of the way for now. You know how people about Germans right now." He sounded sad. Being Russian, He occassionally got lumped in with the Germans. Then he brightened. "But now we four, six if you count these majestic beasts, are going to head to my wagon."
 
Spectra nodded "Well if you ever need help with them you just let me know Vlad" she glanced over at Tim and Tam "Don't forget our deal" she said before flitting off to go chat up someone else.

Star looked up at him "She nice...yes?"
 
"She is very nice," Vlad assured him before turning to the twins. "However, I am curious as to what deal she said you need to honor?"

The twins squirmed unhappily. "Give Mimicy Mike his bracelets back."

Vlad sighed in disappointment. "Again? We talked about this."

The twins nodded. "We know. We give it back."

"Good. Come along so you can get it," Vlad said. "Starnacht, would you like to ride Regina?"

"Us too?" the twins asked hopefully.

Vlad shook his head. "I am very disappointed in you two for stealing from Mimic, so no, not this time."

They hung their heads but did not argue.
 
Starnacht looked at the unicorn uncertainly, animals tended to not like him, he had a predators smell.

"She will not be scared?" He asked, still unsure if he liked the idea of riding regardless
 
"You do not have to if you do not want to," Vlad smiled. He started leading them forward. "Come along. Let us go home."

Negru glared at Starnach, but Regina took him in stride, just as she did everything.
 
That didn't exactly answer his question so he fell silent and stayed close to Vlad. Maybe not yet...another day perhaps he could ride.

He yawned, eyes half closing as they walked. A creature of night he was up rather late and it was wearing on him.

As they were headed back they came across Camila though she hadn't noticed them yet
 
Vlad considered calling out to Camila. He almost didn't. She seemed so tired, as did his new charge, but it might be good for her to know about the little one. He hesitate for a long moment, but as they drew closer, he called out, "Miss Camila? A moment?"

The twins looked up with shining eyes. They adored Miss Camila! They were fond of her but in a different way from Spectra.
 
Camila looked over "oh hello Vlad, Tim, Tam and..?" She said, eyes falling on the new addition who shyly hugged Vlads arm

When he failed to answer she looked to Vlad for one "a new friend?"
 
Vlad smiled proudly. "Yes, this is Starnacht. He came to me today looking for a home. Star, this is Miss Camila. She is very kind, and if ever you are hurt, she will help you feel better. She is an important person here, and very kind to us all."
 
Star nodded to his words but still stayed silent, smiled a little.

"You're much too kind Vlad" she said before looking at Star "well Starnacht, I hope you like it here. Looks like you're ready for sleep hm?"

The boy nodded "mhm, not awake at daytime come out at night only" he answered her and yawned again
 
"Then we shall get you to bed," Vlad said, "and the twins have a chore to do. "Thank you for your time, Miss Camila. I hope your day continues well." He ushered the three boys forward, the unicorns trailing behind. Regina reached over long enough to give Camila's hair a nuzzle as they passed.
