When it's not a big anniversary for Dark and I, when it's like... seven years, or something, I don't really stop to marvel on how it's already been seven years. Even though I knew how long we had been married on our seventh anniversary, I wasn't astounded by the number. It just felt natural for it to have been so long."

"You've also been together far longer than you've been married, and you, Mama, have been certain you were destined to be together for lifetimes," Alec pointed out.

"That's true," Daizi agreed, "but this could have been fated too, it just couldn't happen until your father and I finally found our way together."

"That could be," Alec agreed. "Oh! There's our car! Right over there."

"Thank goodness it's not a white car," Xander said. "It's noticeable."

"You say that as though black is not the second most common car colour," Dark said, taking his key from his pocket to unlock the car, "The red interior is what actually makes it stand out."

"The fact that it's really nice and shiny and a good car is what makes it stand out," Xander drawled.

The twins waited until Ivy was in the car. Then they piled in with her and flopped back, utterly exhausted. Time for a good, long break!
