Stahlhiem: College of Magic (Rebooted!) IC

Thal wasn't accustom to being looked directly in the eye and he resisted to look away in awkwardness. "If you believe that that is the best thing to start building a proper relationship then so be it. My Bladestorm shall accompany us to this...cafe as you call it?"

Coro - Second year classroom
"I am now i guess... bye simon" coro turns around and starts to walk out of the classroom looking a little angry. 'Stupid simon of course i had plans but they would be with him now what am i suppose to do...'

Simon - Second Year Class Room

With an easy smile, Simon bade Coro goodbye. He then addressed Thal "If you follow me my lord" he curtsied then made his way out of the college to go to the cafe he frequented where he asked for a table for two then a table for Thal's guards. Once everybody had settled in seats Simon lazily cradled his head on one hand "I recommend the tea. I'm sure it's nothing compared to Verdant leaves but it's a good substitute" he smiled

"Yes of course. Before I go my father has instructed me to give you this." He told Coro before leaving with Simon. Thal had given Coro a scroll with the wax seal of House Rando on it. The note is written on what looks like paper but feels like pale leather. Inside the note is the phrase 'Speak with my son when you are alone. We have something you will want.' and attached to the scroll is a drawn picture of an old man, bloody and beaten.

Thal - Stahlhiem Cafe

"You are right about a least somethings." He commented while reading the menu, but has trouble choosing as nothing here seems at the least appitizing. Grounded wheat, eggs and milk cooked by fire, peppered meat boiled in water with onions and chicken skin and other horrible sounding dishes that he wouldn't even dream of eating. "Is this what you Bordermen consider as....food?"

Simon - Second Year Class

Once their drinks had been served Simon put the cup of steaming drink up to himself then took a sip smiling as the herbal tea warmed him. After a few seconds of comfortable silence enjoying their drinks Simon sighed then spoke "So Lord Thal let's cut the crap then" he frowned then continued "I know how parents are... Don't get me wrong I love my family and my family name but sometimes they ask you to things you'd rather not" Simon shook his head "I don't really want you to feel uncomfortable putting up a facade. It's something I was taught too but it gets so tiring. Just talk as you'd usually I swear you won't offend me" he waited on Thal as he slowly sampled the cup.

Thal - Stahlhiem Cafe

Thal was rather surprised at his new 'friend' 's sudden change of character. Still he was rather relieved at the situation that had presented itself. "If such is the case, you must have experience with such things before." Thal replied. "Would you mind if I were to pry as to how and why?"

coro -dorm
Coro shoves the scroll into one of her robes pockets and heads to her dorm. Once there she takes off the robe and throws it onto her bed and paces around the room in frustration. After a while of pacing around the all to familiar sensation of loneliness starts to return so she go's to her typical spot in the room and begins to meditate allowing her mind to wonder freely trying to escape the feeling.

Simon - Stahlhiem Cafe

Simon nodded "Well my parents Were...- Are merchants" he gave a smile "They're nowhere near as influential as house Rando of course" he sighed then continued "Still me and my siblings were taught Proper Manners" he groaned at those two words "But I'm sure you hear these things all the time they're of no value to you" Simon shifted the conversation while still sipping tea "How about you..... Tell me about yourself and not house Rando but Thal" he watched the elf with an easy smile while peering over his cup.

Coro- Dorms

After a while coro was finally calm again but her thoughts kept lingering back to the scroll thal gave her so she got up and started fishing around in the robes pockets looking for it and eventually finds it and opens it up to read what is inside. She stood there shocked at the picture of the old man she loves so much more then anything else. A feeling of sadness fell upon her but was quickly replaced by an uncontrollable fury. Coro quickly runs out the door and gos on a full sprint to the Cafe.

Thal - Stahlhiem Cafe

Thal was reluctant to speak, as he didn't know the game Simon was playing but he indulged the commoner, if that is what he wanted. "Personally I simply do what is best for the House and what is best for all of Verdanthome. I do not think you will or even can relate but, in a mere 200 years our population had been stuck down from over 30 million to a mere 3 million last census, and still slowly dropping. I cannot afford to think for myself, nor think about my own wants or desires less my entire race be wiped from the world." He replied.

Simon - Stahlhiem Cafe

Simon's eyes looked sad for a moment "Yes, Of course the greater good" he let that thought linger for a moment"I know of the plights that your people endure.... The savagery that assaults them from all sides. I may never fully understand the scope of the burden you bear sire" his voice trembling as he finished "I can only really imagine choices you've had to make between yourself and... your family" Simon's tone changed and he gave a smile to ease Thal "If you don't want to talk my lord that's fine" he slowly raised his cup to himself "Just know I'm here to help in any way I can. It's still the same offer as I've said all that time ago"

The gentle silence lasted for a bit until Simon was sure Thal had relaxed at which point he tried to make small talk specifically about Plants, Swordsmanship, and Food which Simon had some knowledge from his studies in the library.

Coro - Stahlhiem Cafe

Coro barges into the Cafe only taking a second to find thal sitting at a table and just as quickly charges at him her fury and intent to kill clear as day. "Where is he where is Cornelius?!" The question clearly directed to thal.

Simon - Stahlhiem Cafe

Simon jumped at the sudden intrusion with his hands going for his heavy vest until he realized who came through. He glanced at the guard accompanying Thal who had his palm on the hilt of his sword and a sharp look waiting for trouble. Simon not wanting anything to happen tried to defuse the situation "Good evening Coro" he said with an uneasy smile "Please have a seat, I'm sure we can talk about this whole thing peacefully. I'll have them get you something, Camomile right?" he gestured to a waiter for a pot of tea

Thal - Stahlhiem Cafe

Thal was rightfully surprised about Coro's sudden intrution. His hand quickly touches his sword and his guard prepared to defend his Prince. However he backed down when Simon began trying to defuse the situation. Thal takes his seat and address the beastman. "I do not know what you are speaking of. If you wish to talk business, talk to my father." He told her. "Now do not threaten me again or you shall pay dearly."

Simon - Stahlhiem Cafe

"See Coro he doesn't know" he turned towards the Prince "Well I think we should continue this another time. I'll contact you" he left a pile of coins to pay for their drinks then wrapped an arm around Coro "Let's go Coronaria I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this later" he said softly and he tried to gently usher her out the Cafe

Coro- Stahlhiem cafe

Coro forces herself to go with simon knowing what thal was implying. Once the two made it outside the cafe it was clear that her anger had only become worse and it was only a matter of time before she exploded on something or more importantly someone.

Simon - Stahlhiem Streets

Once they were a little bit away from the cafe Simon sighed still with his arm around Coro. He was worried and he wore that expression plain on his face "...Are you ok Coro?"

Coro- Stahlhiem Streets
Simons question set her off wasn't it clear that she was not ok so she started yelling at him to vent some anger. "Am i ok.. AM I OK?! NO SIMON I AM NOT OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Coro roughly brushes simons arm off of her and her claws formed without her realizing it.

Simon - Stahlhiem Street

Simon just looked at her not with distress or fear but patience and concern as if waiting for her to start and finish a tirade

Coro - Stahlhiem Streets

Coro had stopped yelling at simon and now spoke in a more somber voice. "The scroll thal gave me... had a picture of my father and a message... I think they want something from me and their using him as leverage." By now coros anger had disappeared and tears now stream down her face.
